Tiffany price increase?

Hi everyone-
I read on here somewhere that Tiffany''s prices are going up 15% soon. Does anyone know exactly when and if that''ll effect all jewelry? We were planning on buying our plain wedding bands next month to spread out the expenses of the wedding but if they are going up 15% now, then I''ll get them this weekend.

In UCLABelle''s thread for her new Tiffany band, she said her husband talked to an SA and the SA told him that the 15% increase was happening this week (so I''m assuming by Sunday at the latest). I would call the Tiffany & Co. where you plan on buying your bands and ask them about when/how much the prices are increasing for the bands that you want. Maybe you can work something out where you order them today without paying in full, then pay the remaining balance when they come in?
 
It seems like all the jewelers and diamond dealers increased their prices to reflect the high metal and energy prices so Tiffany''s increase is no surprise at all, it was just a matter of time...
 
I believe it was diamond, platinum and gold jeweler (i.e. silver was not included)....they had new price tags out and ready to put on items....

I bet there will be a shopping rush at the Tiffany''s this weekend after this rumor...

I know Cartier had one in March. It does happen, but it also drums up business if it gets out.
 
I''ve been speaking to a sales rep from Tiffany about the etoile pave engagement ring for a few weeks. I called today because of this price increase post. She said that they''ve already had their price increase for the year and it is very unlikely another would happen, especially of that magnitude, and especially without warning to the phone reps. She said this year''s increase happened around April, and maybe the local store was just late putting the new tags on. I''m going to take her at her word, but I''m still going Monday to try on the rings they''re bringing in and make my decision. Good luck!
 
Oh heavens to betsy. I was going to buy my wedding band this Sunday...maybe I should do Saturday instead! EEK! I need to call pronto!
 
I will stop in today to ask my sales rep again, because if she was lying we will be upset (we bought a few other pieces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)...
 
Ok. I called the T&Co here and the sales associate said the prices will indeed be increasing on Sunday. However, she had no idea if the ring I wanted would be one of the prices to increase. I don''t want to take any chances so I''m going to buy it tomorrow (this of course is assuming it even goes with my Ering).
 
I spoke with my SA just now and prices are DEFINITELY going up Sunday, and pretty significantly it seems. I''m going in tomorrow to get ours.

Also, as a side note...she mentioned that there a few new bands. The novo now comes in half circle and plain!
 
Sure enough, spoke to someone at the Troy, MI store to set up an appt and prices are going up on certain lines on Sunday, including most of the band rings. Luckily, the manager said since I set up the appt before prices went up, she would honor the lower prices...Whew! Thanks for all the sleuthing ladies and gents.

Jewelry prices are going up and up. Last month I stopped into my B&M jeweler and he told me that the Tacori setting I have went up $1K since I bought it in November. Moral of story: don''t wait.
 
The price increases are insane. I loved a Franck Muller last fall and got it this spring. From when I first looked at it it went up at least 2000.00. Amazing to me.
 
oh no! just saw this thread! We have been procrastinating on wedding bands - looks like i should have gotten my Novo band last year! :-(
 
I know its not on topic , but I just wanted to tell everyone how excited I am that a Tiff''s is finally opening in my city!! (never been to one before..)
And opening in the same month as my b''day as well LOL!

They''re opening in Dublin as well in August-woohoo!
 
Hmmm... I wonder when the price increase will hit Australian Tiffany''s... I was really interested in checking out their new Metro band (finally something in WG!), but they are not expecting it to come in for at least another 3 weeks.
 
Ouch! The alternating Jazz band I''ve been eyeing went up by 8% (roughly $300 USD) this afternoon.

I agree, but at what point do I stop and say it is not worth it? Have not hit that yet. I am sure at some point I will...
 
sure enough my soon-to-be Novo wedding band went up from 2775 to 3000 today online. I think last year it was 2375! Argh!
 
Aw man, that is too bad for those that wanted something and did not get in before the increase. Thankfully, there is nothing on my list right now

I just looked and the wedding band I purchased on Saturday went up by a $100.
 
There will be a second price increase August 17th. Just got back from the store and heard the bad news
