ANyone know anything about this. I saw it in the blue book, but haven''t been able to find any pictures or anything on the net.

I remember that setting. That setting is incredible. I suspect like many of the pieces in the blue book, they are one of a kind custom pieces.

I''ve never heard of it, but I''d love to see a picture!

Can you describe it? I couldn''t find any pictures online either.

The only place I''ve seen it is in the blue book that Tiffany mails out. It''s a six prong solitaire setting. Each of the prongs is in the shape of a pave lotus leaf. It looks like the lotus flower is cradling the diamond. I can''t remember exactly but I think the ring they showed was 6 figures or more. I''ll see if I can get a scan of it if I can find the blue book.

try 7 figures. 1,000,000.00 17.99 CT VS1 Daimond. The pave stones come from half way up the band and cover all 8 leaves that comprise the lotus leaf prong setting.

wow, it''s really a lovely setting!

those pink sapphire rings are gorgeous!!

Wow what gorgous jewelry - thanks for the link!

Hasn''t something similar already been done by Leon Mege for an 8ct diamond?

Gorgeous!!

Oh - I loved that one. I actually thought about doing a sort of similar setting at one time but without all the extra diamonds on the prongs and band, just he lotus type of thing connecting plain prongs. It is an 8 prong setting, but I still think it is very pretty. I was thinking that maybe 8 prongs ''needed'' the 18 carats so the ring didn''t look like all prongs, but I was told by a vendor that you don''t have to have an 18 carat ring for it still to look beautiful, just do smaller prongs!
Are you thinking about doing something similar?

Blue Book goes out for the pieces that are made to be one of a kind and statement. Larger stones, larger price tags, larger clients...

You can ASK TCo if they would make one, but I am guessing even that pricetag would not be doable. I think the design shows up best when it is larger, because there is more space to work with on a larger pavillion, but if you can get a good mock-up to see what it would look like in wax, perhaps it would be beautiful if a craftsman could capture the feel without overwhelming the diamond with metal...

Can''t wait to see it if you do!

nah, I would never be ostentatious enough to buy something like that. I am a simple person at heart. If not for the lady''s insistance on the bling on the band, I would just get a traditional tiffany setting, as is it will either be a channel set or beaded tiffany setting.
