Hi Everyone,

I need a second opinion of those with a keener eye.

My GF loves the Tiffany Classic setting but only the crown (curved crown) and not a huge fan of the knife edge. She tried on another ring, the Birks Nordic Light (here in Canada) and really likes the tapered shank but I have no clue what size it is. All I know is it's smaller than the Tiffany's from looking at it and from my research people here are saying Tiffany Classic is ~2.5mm.

Essentially, I'm looking for a setting with the 6 prong curved crown and a tapered small shank.

This is the Tiffany Classic:

The closest thing I found is from WF (similar to their 6 prong Tiffany Replica):

Based on the above two critera, do you guys think the WF is pretty close?

The BGD is closer to the 'original'. Most people consider the BGD to be a better replica of that style especially with the head/prongs. Also the two I posted for you have comfort shanks that are nice to wear. The one on WF is more squared off, which some don't find as comfortable.

The original Tiffany has a knife edge shank many find uncomfortable. But BGD does offer that as an option too. You can look on their site. They have a several options for you to consider. And lots of pictures.

I've bought from BGD. Never a Tiffany replica. But I have had Tiffany sales people and managers ask about my BGD pieces, loupe them and give me compliments on them. I've never bought from WF, so I can't comment on that. But I can tell you my appraisers have always commented VERY favorably on the diamond, metal work and finish quality of my BGD pieces.

So for me, BGD is a no brainer.

Thanks for the help!

I''m looking at the Tiffany Inspired from BGD.

Are the prongs curved like the Tiffany's or are they straight? The prongs on the WF looks more squatty and thicker but it has more of a swoop.

Can anybody chime in - for anyone who has the WF or BGD Tiffany Inspired, how does the swoops compare to the Tiffany Classic?

I'm looking at various posts and each picture is a bit different and I can't seem to get an accurate picture.

The BG tapered Tiffany style half round should be the closest thing to what you have described.
