Tiffany circlet style ring

My husband and I have begun shopping for a ring for our 10th anniversary in December. I've narrowed it down to a style like the platinum Tiffany 3 stone circlet, however we don't really want to pay retail Tiffany prices ($4800).


Ebay kind of scares me, even though I've found a couple listed with diamonddr16 ($3250), whom I've read some here recommend.

I've also gone to a local jeweler who showed me something similar that they could custom order ($2900), but I'm not sure I like it as much as the real thing. Plus, it would not be returnable, being a custom piece and I'd really want to try it on first.


Buying second hand does not bother me at all as long as I know I'm not getting scammed. Are there other options that you can suggest for this style of ring? If I make an offer on the idonowidont.com ring, what would be the lowest I could go without insulting the seller?

Ritani makes a really nice ring that is similar. This one has a LOT greater diamond weight so it costs more, but in general, you will get more diamond weight for your money with Ritani since you aren't paying for the Tiffany brand. I also think the Ritani has a nicer profile view. The question is whether you'd be able to find one with a smaller diamond weight within budget.

But if you really want a Tiffany one second hand, I think that is fine. The ebay seller has sold a lot of Tiffany so I think that is safe. The one junebug posted should be as well. Be sure to get your size or close to your size. And do not let anyone size or work on the ring but Tiffany.

Junebug17 - thanks so much for the 1stdibs find! I made an offer of $2200 and it was accepted and arrived on Friday! It's so beautiful in person! Now the hard part is waiting until our anniversary in December to start wearing it! So much better than spending Tiffany's markup of $4800! Thanks again!!
