I want to buy a used (new with tags) Tiffany locket. I had asked bout this time back and decided not to buy but now I have one with a good price.
I've reviewed for what I can things to look for as far as fakes. I dont see any issue with this locket: the hallmarks are proper, straight and aligned.
It comes with all the pieces, box, bow, all that.
Is there anything I should be wary of before I pull the trigger?
How prevalent are fakes out there that aren't obvious? In the posts I saw it was pretty obvious they are fakes.
Would Tiffany authenticate the item if I took it to them?
