Tiffany Authentication/Evaluation (Recommendation on eBay)

I purchased this particular tiffany necklace off ebay. The seller has been communicating with me very quickly, unfortunately they "can't" tell me who the original owner was, they did put the receipt on the listing and said they are including it with the shipment. Any chance for tiffany to authentic/valuation summary this item with just the receipt?
I am attaching all the photo's from the listing. Everything looks legit, but with ebay you never know.

The purchase price & general description seen on the depicted sales receipt (platinum graduated diamond pendant on a 16" chain) do correspond to that for Tiffany's "Jazz" pendant. So it seems promising.

Don't know their current policies are re authentication of jewelry pieces, sorry.

HI:

When buying on the secondary market, receiving an original receipt (as part of the sale) is not common--I'd consider this a bonus.

It is my understanding that Tiffany no longer authenticates jewellery items--there have been a few threads here about this. But hey, take the receipt and see what they say. Nothing to loose!

Thanks! Yeah at first glance i checked the photo to make sure it was real, i researched and indeed oregon is tax free so the 3600 with no tax does match up to the jazz. Which is the one i want to give for vday, so i am hoping it's good. I figured i'd just take it to the mall and have tiffany clean it.. i assume if it's not real, they wouldn't clean it right? And then maybe take it to a jeweler for an appraisal and they probably can make sure the diamonds are what they are?

I'm a little bit skittish with no year engraved on the back like some others that are "2003" but i dunno. He says he just took it to the jeweler and they say it's 100% real plat/diamond, i'll take it to a local place or two and get it checked.I know tiffany won't do much with authentication, i guess at this point, i'm just wanting to assure it's platinum/real diamonds

Not all of them do have the date but the fact that it has a receipt and if they're providing the actual receipt to you, that's unusual and really positive to me.

You mighty want to bring it back to Tiff for a cleaning and polishing, it is my understanding they do not work on anything that is not theirs so there will be your proof. It they ask for a receipt, tell them you bought it years ago and don't have the receipt anymore.

I think a receipt is great! I have bought pieces before without the receipt and really didn't have any doubt about authenticity as the items were a good price anyway. I don't think they'll ask for a receipt to clean the pendant. I think the sterling is massively copied, but platinum not as much.

Just saw it has a 2014 sale date. Should be in excellent condition.

Re-read you post, you do have receipt, as I said earlier I would bring it to Tiff for cleaning and polishing.

It arrives tomorrow if usps tracking is correct.. which will be awesome, because i 'm making 2 trips to tampa next week and i'll take it by the mall. I'll go in without the receipt for the cleaning/polishing and see what they say.

What happened with the item? Did Tiffany's clean it for you or otherwise authenticate it?
