Three fun little stones

I went to a local shop yesterday and picked up three fun little gemstones to add to my collection. I have no intention of setting these.

The first is my much-coveted sphene! At exactly 1ct, it isn''t the best cut ever, but it still has lots of sparkle.

Sorry for the small pictures - my photoshop is a liar, it said all of these were barely under 100kb at this size, but they are actually closer to 25kb. Dang it!

This is my scapolite - 1.17ct. It has a pretty big window, but it looks like a very warm diamond.

It has really pretty step cuts. And fairly big for it''s carat weight.

The last is a color change fluorite. The color shift is MAJOR, and the guy at the shop held it under two different flashlights to let me see it. Unfortunatly, I don''t have any incandecent bulbs handy, so I made it work with sunlight. This is the color it normally is. It''s teeny, .78ct.

A little closer, and very true to color here.

And here is the color shift - a very pretty purple, just as rich as the blue.

I love the fluorite the BEST! Not only for the good colour change but for the overall colour.

I don''t have any intentions on setting these, at least not right now. After all my research into sphene I think I would only set one that was especially extraordinary, and this stone is really not. It''s just pretty
