Thoughts on this S-T OEC/transitional for a bezel pendant?

Justt picked up this little guy and need to decide whether to keep it or not. This is my first low color stone and I really like the color (the last photo is next to a G of the same size). It's GIA certed .57 ct S-T, light brown, an SI2, but I can't see a thing in it without magnification. The cut, however, I'm not so sure about. It's pretty bright in the center, not so much around the edges. This is for a bezel pendant (thinking rose gold), I'm wondering if it's not going to look great bezeled. So what are your thoughts? Would you keep it or not?

I wouldn't worry so much about the clarity if there are no obviously visible inclusions. The OEC bezel pendant I recently had made was an SI2 as well. Pendants also offer some grace since social etiquette will limit close inspection.

I can't tell from the photos how it will perform, cupping the stone or using the foil trick may give you a better idea of how it will look once it's set. I also see some darker facets, but it's a static photo, so it's really hard to say. How does it look to you when you move the stone?

Just curious on what the depth is? Is it reflecting light well in different lighting environments? Do you like the faceting pattern? Is there anything you dont
like about it? I tend to let those things be my guide. Its nice that you have the stone and can see for yourself it you like it enough to keep or whether a
year from now you're thinking why did I buy this stone?

Thanks for your thoughts! I'm stuck in my office with fluorescent lighting, where nothing looks particularly great, even my superideal H&A's. As soon as I'm done, will check it out in different lighting conditions and see how it performs. Will have to try to foil trick, thanks for the tip, Stonewell! The clarity is definitely okay, it looks completely eye clean to me.

Tyty - the depth is 62.8, not bad for an old cut, I think. Here's a link to the listing, for some reason it's still listed as available on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/494058744/diamond-old-european-57-carat-gia-report

I think I really need to see it how it performs outside the office to make up my mind. I'm also curious about the medium fluorescence, should it be noticeable outside in the sun at all?

I think she's very pretty... and fabulous given it's an SI2. I don't see any distortions even with the magnified pics. I think it'll be a beautiful pendant with an S-T color in rose gold.:love::love:

And a bezel pendant will give you the look of a larger stone. Beautiful stone.

That's really nice! I like this last pics a lot. It'll look great in a bezel pendant

Thank you all again for the reassurance! I think she'll be going into a bezel. Will just need to figure out the setting details.

Love It! Go for it!:appl:

I think you're really going to like this stone. Especially, once it's set in rose gold. It think the rose gold will play off the color really well. I have an uncerted.85ct s-t oec. Mine is set in yellow old. Sometimes, it looks yellow, and other time creamy. I love it.
