Thoughts on this pair of round brilliant diamonds for earrings?

Hi there! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm looking to purchase a pair of round brilliant lab diamonds to make into stud earrings. My parameters have been: 1-1.4 cttw, G+ color, VS2+ clarity, Ideal cut, < $1650 USD pre-tax, with the emphasis being put on cut and performance.

I found these two from b2cjewels, as @DejaWiz suggested in a different thread.

What do you think of these? I have pretty small ears, so I'm a little concerned about the new stud crowding my second piercing. For reference, the stud I have in my second piercing has ~3.5mm diameter.

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance.

You're lucky to have smaller lobes! I think the 1.4ctw size would look great on you.

It might be my monitor, but the 0.72 may have a touch of blue nuance. For earrings, I also like a slightly larger table to help with brightness. Here are a couple pairs I found.

That means we're trying to intentionally minimize the intensity of the dark flashes right? Why is brightness more desirable for a diamond earring as opposed to a ring? Does it have something to do with the vertical orientation of the diamond?

Happy to help! Please come back and share the ASET images if they're able to provide them. I'd also put them on hold while you're waiting so they don't get sold out from under you.

There being no great objections I propose this as is. True that at the extremes lower girdle and star facets can be an issue, but since it is likely most people will stick to the green zone - for now I think the KISS rule should apply. Next question - where should this sit so it is accessible...

Me too. I prefer my earrings to face up very white and have less fire (white light return over fire). Disco balls next to my face is too much for me. Also, they tend to be spready stones so I get more coverage for the same weight.

It depends on what you want and like.

I really like 20140533. The other one looks a bit wonky. This stone might be a good alternative, but I'm not totally sure it doesn't have blue nuance. The background is throwing me off a bit.
