I have this stone on hold currently and would love thoughts on it. It’s a 1.50 M, SI1. I don’t want a super yellow stone but feel like it will be more steely colored in faint brown. I do like warmer hues and love my L colored emerald cut. My biggest priority is a super gorgeous cut. Lots of flash and sparkle! Thoughts? Here’s a pic and video. I don’t have an aset. 6061712B-041A-4DCF-9CC6-7373F79CFC2C.png720239E7-3D25-4780-95C2-4E8DBDD13524.png

I vote for rose gold. I love warmer stones and rose/yellow gold doesn't make the stone look yellow and gives a more vintage feel. White gold usually makes warmer stones look more yellow, unless it's unplated gold.

And the aset!

Ok peeps whatcha think?

Looks pretty good. Ask whether the inclusion at four o'clock is eye visible (if you think you would mind)

I love the tone! So warm and gorgeous

Bump! Anyone with thoughts on the cut??

The IS suggests that the pavilion facets are more variable than would be ideal. You can see there are areas of brighter white. Given there are many of them, that suggests to me that if you could look at the actual 8 angles, they would have a higher range. So, there is a bit of darkness under the table which you can see in the video. I don't consider it a stone to immediately pass on if it ticks all your other boxes. I also love brown over yellow in lower colors. If you open to buying it and viewing in person, that would be my suggestion to look at its beauty to you and make sure that it is not masking an unattractive tone.

I too would vote for warm metal. I really like the color of David Klass's peachy gold.

Ah! It’s craxy how much you can’t trust things. The cut calculator at enchanted diamonds showed it with a cut score of 97.2 which is ideal master cut and it’s a GIA triple X but even that doesn’t ensure that it’s a great cut. The stone is was super reasonable imo at $3400 so I scooped it up. I’ll defimotely go through David Klass when it arrives. He did another setting I love.

that seems like really good price/value ratio imho....hope it's awesome in person and if not you can send it back!

i've read conflicting things on that cut calculator, maybe others can chime in on how useful/accurate it is...

So I ended up passing on this stone because I called Yuketiel at IDJewelry and for a few hundred dollars more he found me a AGS 000 stone in an L color. I can’t wait for it to arrive!
