Thoughts on this emerald?

While I will never have Karl's eye for cut and crystal, it may help why I (a novice) would reject those 3 ECs. As they rotate into the face-up position - as you would see it on your hand - they all flat-spot, like a car tire that's been parked too long. As it rotates you want each facet to turn on and off, to ripple and "dance" (Karl's phrase) across the table. Lively, not static.
Be patient with yourself, they'll make more on which to train your eye.

Unfortunately not a winner in the bunch.
Emerald 2.01ct E VVS2 $1,085

Ok thank you. Does white flash usually have good emerald or are they known for round cuts only?

They have found good ones in the past but its not something they are known for doing.
Being in Texas there is a lot of shipping involved where a dealer in the diamond district NY can sneaker net in a stone to look at.

Do you recommend a jeweler/company that will not lie about a stone being great? Cause it seems like most websites online keeps sending me these “good cut” EC but when I post it on here, they’re not actually good.

David at Diamonds by Lauren is in New York. He has many lab diamonds and he loves step cuts. You will be dealt with honestly. (He's quite beloved here.)

Thank you!!! I will look! I hope he has some that are smaller sizes!

This one has the highest potential of any of them so far,

Would you say this is the best out of all the ones I linked previously also?

Do you think it’s better for me to buy it loose vs have it set that way it can be returned easily? Or just have the store send me a video once they get it in

Given the variables with EC cuts I personally would have it sent to me loose and play with it before having it set.
My feelings on it vary by shape, a modern round brilliant for example you can be very sure its a good one with available info so I have them set and shipped.
Fancies its more a case by case basis with having them sent to me loose first in most cases.
Its what your comfortable with.
