Searching for a 1ct round diamond...$6k or less preferably. Criteria is at least 1ct..round, EYECLEAN and very shiny ;) I also really do not want to see any yellow or color in it.

Just found this one

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2805421.htm

The diamond will be paired with the Harmony setting from Whiteflash. Would love some feedback or suggestions on a better diamond for my money

Well if you don't want to see yellow don't wear it near a yellow shirt, flower, beige shirt or walls, or light orange. Or even some shades of light brown. Know why? Diamonds reflect color from their environment. Much of the color you see "in" a diamond J and above (when really well cut) has nothing to do with body color and everything to do the environment. And that's what it should do.. reflect.

A one carat 1 ES AGS 0 stone is NOT going to be yellow at all in any way shape or form when set. Light return masks body color and if that stone is eyeclean, I think it's a lovely choice.
How are you going to set it?

Oh wow, I did not know that. Thnx.

It will be set with the Harmony setting from Whiteflash

Beautiful setting.

The only color you might see is if the setting is very open from the sides and you have really super sensitive eyes you might see a bit of 'off white' from the profile view of the stone. If a 6 prong setting or bezel you won't even see that. In the Harmony setting even, on a 1 carat, I doubt you'll see it.

You may be able to see tint in an I if you ever compare it to a whiter stone. But I color in ideal cut will be a beautiful diamond, just not as bright-white as higher colors.

The clarity information is totally missing on that AGS report. Did you ask them about that? There are no marks on the stone diagram and there is nothing written under the Key to Symbols, either. The listing says the stone is eyeclean, but I would want to know the type of inclusions and see the inclusion plot on an SI2 (or any stone, for that matter).

It really isn't that hard because you are looking at ideal cut diamonds! Hard to go wrong! But I wouldn't go to J color. I can see the tint in a J and most others can, too. You mentioned that you didn't want to see tint, right???

Yes I would like it to be as white and color free as possible for my budget.

Then I would stick with I color or higher.

IF eyeclean, I'd go for the Si2. I'd pocket the 1000 bucks. Plus the Si2 is a smidge bigger (not visually but just in terms of measurements).
