then enter certificate number 182630144

I''m thinking about purchasing this diamond. It is between this and a 1.60 GIA certified diamond. Obviously I like this one because it is larger, but I was hoping the experts could weight in and tell me what they think about this one.

Thank you in advance!

I would say no. There is a ring of death under the table, you can even see it in the GCAL optical brilliance report and they still call it excellent light return...

Also, it is extremely deep, at 68.9%, face up diameter is the equivalent to a 1.66c stone. So it is obviously cut for a magic weight of 2.00c.

What exactly does that mean.

You look into the stone and just under the table where it is suppose to be the brightest in RB, in this stone it will not be.

I think stone-cold means the blue color ring at the center of stone. In the description (b), it says that dark-blue areas of light loss

Weight only scraped into the 2.0ct band.
Cutter could only be bothered to do a "good" polish, rather than very good or excellent.
Girdle is slightly thick and hiding excess weight.
The crown is very large - 18% (39.6 degrees). More normal is 15% (34.5 degrees).
Pavilion is deep and steep - 45% (41.8 degrees). More normal is 43% (40.6 degrees).
A bad mis-match of crown and pavilion angles - and designed to retain as much weight as possible.
Total depth is excessive - 68.9%. I'd be concerned above 63%.

As Stone Cold says; you can see the dark ring of light leakage in the optical brilliance analysis. The stone will be prone to showing that black ring - and darkness under the table - in normal viewing conditions.

That diamond is best left for the 2ct "wannabe" people who have little regard for cut quality and don't demand much in the way of sparkle.

Sarahbear, listen to the Dawg Pound. They are brilliant. They won''t sugar coat it either. I suppose this would call for a big "Beware of Diamond Dogs" sign.

I knew something was wrong with it because it was way under my budget- definitely too good to be true. I will tell him that I''m not interested.

Thank you! I love the PS community!
