Hi all, I came across this diamond which I think I''d be satisfied with. I''d appreciate some professional advice on the quality of the diamond. I''d also appreciate some feedback on the hearts image and if there is anything there that I should be concerned about. There are some splotches that I''m not sure are negligable or not.

On another note, what are thoughts on negotiation of price with Whiteflash or other jewelers? From what I see the prices are competitive, especially through pricescope. I just wonder if there happens to be any additonal wiggle room and if anyone has been successful at that.

Thank you!
Mike

Here''s a link. And FYI this diamond is currently on hold.

Lastly, I intend on setting this diamond into this Ritani setting. Let me know if anyone has any experience with this, or if the diamond may be too small, which is a concern I have. The setting is supposed to accomodate diamonds from 0.5 to 2 carats.

Thanks again.

As long as it is eye-clean to your standard, it looks great!

ditto jet.

Thritto!

Looks pretty and the ring will be gorgeous.

Thanks everyone. So I take it that I shouldn''t be concerned about the splotches in the hearts image? I''m referring to the upper right quarter. I''m accustomed to seeing very clear hearts. Could someone give me an idea as to what these splotches might be?

Thanks again.
Mike

Those are reflections of the inclusion. As long as you ask WF to make sure the diamond is eye-clean to your standards, it''s not an issue.

Ditto. Though I would be surprised with a VS id you can see the inclusions in any way shape or form.

I personally don't like shorter lower girdle facets, which this diamond has at 76% (fat arrows), but it is still a nice stone.
