Thoughts on this diamond please

Hi Forum,

I have been lurking for a while and finally registered.
I am praying I can get your opinions on this diamond. ...

Will it sparkle and shine enough to make her smile or should
I keep shopping ?

Please provide your opinion on this

Looks good to me, check with JA if the stone is eye-clean.

I did have an online chat with a JA rep this morning and asked if it is eye clean.

The rep said that the diamond is in New York so she would need to find out from a NY rep
and get back to me.

Still waiting on the email.... anxiously.

Looks like a nice diamond but very important to check this with the JA rep, there is a grade making cloud listed so get them to check whether this cloud is impacting performance or not, this happens sometimes in SI graded clouds.

I wish I could step up from the si to vs but truth is the budget is tight.

Here is the reply I received from JA

Unless someone can convince me not to I think i will be pulling the trigger on this diamond.

If you want to be extra safe you can also have it appraised independently before setting.

Looks like a beautiful stone and a great price!!!
My FI''s diamond has same or similar CA & PA and it gives off tons of fire/colors. Hers is H color too and it faces up very white with the ideal cut.

So the fiancee got the ring on new years night she was very excited and happy.
There is only 1 small irritant now the ring is a little bit too large.

When i checked her other rings they where size 5.5
I requested this size from jamesallen but it fits a little loose on her finger.

When resizing this ring to make it smaller do they cut the ring and solder or
do they dismount all the diamonds and remount on a smaller ring ?

Also does anybody know of a jeweler in Toronto that can do a quality resizing job ?
It is going to be hard to pry it off her finger for too long and I fear sending it back
to james allen for a free resizing could take a while and that it still might come back
the wrong size.

Looks like a beautiful ring and stone!!

You might want to double-check with JA before proceeding with local resizing, just to be sure that it won''t invalidate the warranty on the ring.
