Hi

Firstly thanks to this forum for some really great advice!

I'm looking at the below:

1) 3.01 ct cushion cut, G, VS1, ex Polish / Symmetry and no fluorescence

2) 2.7ct cushion cut, G, FL, ex Polish / Symmetry and no fluorescence

ASET Image.jpg

Would welcome thoughts from those with more experience. The price of both is around £26k / $34k

The main question for me is that the 2.7ct is a better ASET image but will it make a difference in normal lighting? I appreciate that the FL is not necessary, but the light performance looked really good hence the selection.

Thank you for your help!

EDIT: This will be set in yellow gold.

Of the two, the second. The first has a ring of leakage around the center. I did not click the link because I don't know where it goes, but option 2 is a more pleasing ASET to me.

#2 ASET is obviously better, bit #1 is
more elongated. It is not a fair comparison; it is like comparing a round and an oval.

Considering #1 has L/W ratio of almost 1.1, if I were to score the ASET, it would be 85/100
#2 ASET would 93/100.

But #1 is noticeably bigger and 3.0 carat plus.

Tough decision

I personally prefer #2 (both the ASET and the video), but it's hard to directly compare the videos because they have different angles/lighting.

Does the 3.01 have a GIA report as well?
