Thoughts on this Blue Nile Round Brilliant?

As many of you know based on another thread I started, I've been looking at several ACAs on Whiteflash and had settled on the following diamond as of this morning (thanks again for everyone's help!)

https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3897227.htm

The only sticking point for me is the price. For grins and giggles (and to make sure I was getting the best deal), I took a look at Blue Nile's inventory this morning and happened upon what looks like a shockingly good value. I currently have it on hold and there are no photos of it online, but it looks great based on the GIA Cert. It's a 2.45 I VS2 with the attached GIA certificate. Can anyone see anything objectionable about this diamond? It looks like an amazing value based on my initial review. The HCA score is 1.3 and it gets a total grade of 1A in the cut/class screening tool. I feel that it should be eye clean as a VS2, as well. The price is only $21,255, which is far less than the Whiteflash diamonds I've been considering. Here are the stats:

58% table
60.4% depth
34.5 crown angle
40.8 pavilion angle
thin-medium faceted
No fluorescence
8.72 x 8.75 x 5.28 mm

Thanks!

The whiteflash diamond is larger. Having seen super ideal diamonds in person from both white flash and High Performance Diamonds, I would say the WF diamond is worth the extra money compared to a non super ideal from blue Nile (and I have 4 blue nile diamonds, all of which I love).

The BN diamond is likely gorgeous too. I would like to see a pic.

In my opinion (I am not you or your intended), once you see the difference with a super ideal cut, you can't unsee the difference.

So it all goes down to what you want. The WF diamond is larger, more expensive, but has a better trade in policy and is a super ideal cut.

Thanks, whitewave.

Is there anything about a super ideal cut that makes it "better" than a diamond with similarly excellent proportions off Blue Nile? Do the super ideal cuts have something special that the HCA tool can't measure?

I also see that there's a very small knot on the edge of the diamond - any risk to the diamond on account of it?

Thanks!

If you are worried about price, the Blue Nile diamond is likely gorgeous (i would like to see the listing).

You have to go with what makes you sleep well at night.

Ok. Let me say this. I bought my asscher from
BN blind without a picture either. It's amazing! It's really unheard of to to this with an asscher and have it work out.

But, I'm older and am married and was willing to work with the 30 day return policy (has to be back
On day 30) if I didn't like it.

They don't do asets either

So it is a small risk that might pay off IF you have time to possibly send it back if you can't stand it.

Doesn’t look like a huge difference in size

The BN is venturing into 60/60 territory whereas the WF stone will be within standard superideal specs.
