Thoughts on this Asscher before I commit?

I think I'm close to adopting a lab Asscher. I've seen some nice natural stones but I can't go past the value for money with lab Asschers above 1ct.

I found a 1.6ct L/VS1 and it looks pretty good to my untrained eyes. I shrunk the video to roughly its real-life size of 6.5mm (for my phone anyway) but I'll post the larger version too. Any thoughts? The lower colour doesn't bother me and I can't note any stria. If I decide to go for it, I'll get the vendor to take a look once he brings it in.

He has some amazing Asschers in his inventory and I nearly asked him to bring in the 1ct K stone but I decided it was worth going a bit bigger and found the 1.62 L elsewhere. I look forward to getting a lab AVR from Rhino next year though. He's very helpful and friendly.

I commented on this diamond after you already had it, just found this thread. The color is just outstanding, it's not yellow, it's the faintest brown/taupe. I think it's amazing, I think it makes icy white look boring. Can't stop looking at it. Congrats on a great pick!

Thank you! I couldn't not grab it Yes! It's got that old gold shimmer to it rather than yellow tint. It's living with my jeweller now while he finalises the ring design It'll be mounted on a mix of bright white gold prongs and pale yellow gold/unplated white gold to bring out the golden shimmer.

@FL_runner - Yes It has awesome clarity and cut which won me over. Asschers have to be just right for the individual person so it was tricky!

Will definitely post updates. Below is roughly what I’m chasing. My jeweler joked that he might have to ask all his clients to submit drawings!
