Thoughts on this .5 yellow radiant from James Allen?

I've been looking at yellow sapphires, but wanted to consider diamonds as well. Budget would be about 3k for ring and setting. This appears to have a good cut, which is important to me. Doesn't seem to have to many inclusions, and the ones that are there aren't in the center.

It's pretty deep with a thick girdle which is taking a lot of weight so it faces up a bit small. It looks like a "warm" yellow (like it has a bit of brown in it, although it's not noted on the GIA statement)- do you like the warmer shade? Also, what type of setting are you planning? These 3 on Leibish's site cost a bit more, but do you like any of them?

Yellow Diamond- cool. Personally I find a nice yellow diamond a lot more lively than even the best yellow sapphire.

Visually I think the last one appeals the most to me. Maybe I should just stick to the original sapphire plan. Too many options!

Well, even if I used a different color band I'd make sure the yellow diamond had yellow prongs and basket. You might want to look at David's site (Rock Diamond) which is Diamonds by Lauren. He usually has a lot of yellow diamonds or even better give him a call as he may have some not on his site, too. I have a harder time reading his photos so find it easier to talk with him instead.
