Thoughts on this 5 ct lab

I wouldn't recommend this stone. It has blue nuance and an uneven pavilion.

Agree with the others. That, and the report is five and a half years old!
 
In general terms, remember that the majority of round diamonds receive an "Excellent Cut" grade from GIA (and other labs) - I expect this percentage to continue to increase as LGDs become more popular. Any time you are looking at a "Very Good" cut in a round diamond, that means it is not even in the top 1/2 of graded diamonds produced.

Now - that does not mean you can't find a very appealing diamond in other cut grades, but knowing what your priority is: Size vs Carat (not always the same thing) vs. Cut vs. Color, etc. can really help you narrow your search as you seek the most appealing diamond for yourself.

I understand. In the past I have had a mined L color. It was a Triple excellent cut but the warmth got to me over time. I switched to a G LGD and am happier. Hence why I want a closer to colorless stone.
