Looking for some opinions on a Round GIA with the following properties:

Carat 1.30 (7.02-7.07 x 4.32)
Color H
Clarity VVS1
Cut grade Excellent
Depth 61.3%

Should the Flourescence be a main concern? What other concerns should I have? What should be the price range for this diamond? I want to set this diamond in a halo setting.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Tools you can use:
https://www.pricescope.com/diamond-search-results
and also specifically look at Brian Gavin Blue diamonds (see his site) for price comps

https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca to evaluate cut of round diamonds

Also look up "cheat sheet rounds" in this forum for a short cut list of angles, etc. to look for to help narrow down the search to Ideal cuts, if Ideal is what interests you most.

The "I" color range is where most people can start to see tint, especially from the side.

HCA is 1.2, which is great.

Very rarely, strong fluorescence can give a milky or oily effect to the stone in strong UV light (i.e. in direct sun). This is something the gemologist can evaluate for you (hopefully honestly).

Is there a reason you want to go so high in clarity? You are literally paying for something you can't see, and it has no impact on the light performance of this stone. You could drop down in clarity and get a bigger diamond....... :naughty:

Thank you for the quick reply!!! Thanks for the advices and inputs!!

The numbers look good. Can you get an ideal scope image? Agreed, unless it's your personal preference, with this stone you're paying premium for a VVS1...Up to you though!

The angles are right there at the optimum numbers! The fluorescence isn't going to be a problem with a VVS. It is a really neat natural feature that just happens to result in the bonus of a discount in the price! The fluoro is probably making the VVS less of a problem with the price, and I'd honestly rather have the H VVS with strong fluoro than an equivalent H VS2 without it.

Based on the #s...A very nice well cut stone... :appl:

Huh?
What does fluorescence have to do with clarity?

Thank you for your inputs! The VVS1 is just a personal preference .
Do you guys know what price range I should be paying?
