Had these images sent over for a stone we are considering - a 2.4 J/SI1 - HCA 1.5 - do these images make the cut?

What are you prioritizing in your diamond search? (i.e. Size or price over ideal cut or color?)

Can you link to a cert or include angles? Did they send an idealscope?

Goals are the best cut we can find for a 8.3 - 8.4ish diameter (I know thats a strangely specific number) that is eye clean and faces up white. Trying to keep it under 15K.

Depth: 61.7
Table: 58
CA: 35.5
PA: 40.6

Got it. This is not a "superideal" hearts and arrows cut, but let's see if we can find better for your budget...

ETA: Do you want us to suggest online options?

Has the wearer seen I, J, and lower colors in person? I know the one you posted is a J. You want it to face up white, and color tolerance is personal.

Yes. We have actually not seen a lot of stones in the colorless range as when we tell jewelers the what we are looking for in terms of size/price - everything is I/J. Every I color we have seen has been fine, and 75% of Js have been as well.

Depending on how much cut vs budget matter, here are some options:

https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3784253.htm

The first has fluoro (not a bad thing). The second is premium select, not ACA, but still has better cut than the original stone posted. But these two are also over $15K. I'm sure others can post good JA options, too, that maximize budget.

Take a look at several recent threads and pictures here about Whiteflash ACAs in K color. That could get you the mm spread you're looking for and under budget.

So, the diameter needs to be exactly 8.3-8.4 mm only regardless of weight? Is this cultural? Is this flexible or controlling on the search? By that, I mean if we find a diamond that does not have this diameter, do we exclude it?

Is the $15k only for the diamond? If it includes a setting, can you post a picture of the type of setting that is wanted so we can offset the budget?
