Thoughts on these diamonds?

I've been researching off and on for months now and really need to find a diamond soon. I am completely overwhelmed with choices and really have no idea what I am doing...

Using the HCA tool I found 2 diamonds that are within my budget and look to check out. Can I please get some opinions on these two diamonds I am currently looking at? Plan for now is have it set in an inexpensive white gold temp setting for the proposal. Thank you!

I would likely fail to distinguish VVS from IF (it takes a certain frame of mind to find the dam' pinpoints !). F from D would take focus & good light, a neutral background etc.

The most difference there is between these two might come from cut - since there are a few subtly different flavours of perfection out there.

The Canera stone is obviously very precise - Super Ideal (in local parlance) !

I am not seeing as much detail about the H&A precission of the BN diamond. If it were as finely made as the VC, its proprotions are attractive: slightly smaller crown < and table (brighter table), shorter LGF (broader flash) - nice 'flavour' !

This is like choosing between two favorite wines (fragrances, whiskeys...): one day I'd be reaching for one, the next day for another ...

I just wrote what I thought about the 'Super Ideals' on a fresh thread nearby - for what it doesn't matter: WWW

I'm on team VC.

You can't go wrong with Victor.

Victor's stone is superior to the BN stone, and we'd need images of the BN stone to really be able to evaluate it.

This is slightly larger and more expensive, but I like the cut even better than the F VS1:

And at the 1.3 size, I also like this G VS1 better than the F VS1.

Here are two other Whiteflash 1.3 F VS2s that I'd add to the list.

BN left, WF right (the first posted by diamondseeker)

61.7 % Depth % 61.8
56 % Table % 55.4
34° Crown Angle 34.2
50.0 Star 52.0
41° Pavilion Angle 40.9
14.5 % Crown % 15.2
75 % Lower Girdle % 77.0

The numbers caught my eye for how silly close they are ! Funny ...

I do not know what it takes to get an ASET shot from BN. If you want the D / VVS side of things, you may need to trust your instincts on bootleg cut Ideal-ity & GIA's EX rather broad-ish brand ...

Thank you everyone for your opinions and recommendations. I really am overwhelmed by all of this. I'm currently looking over everything mentioned and still trying to learn what to look for.
