Hello Kevin, I would get the second one and have extra money for a great setting. VVS is overkill, no one will be able to tell the difference between the 2 stones. They both are BEAUTIFUL stones!!! No. 2 has my vote

I had reserved 1) originally and have had seconds thoughts after doing a lot of reading a lot of the forums this weekend.

I would take the difference and go for something larger in size but she said she liked ~0.75ct the best on her when she tried various sizes in the stores as she has small fingers. The setting is going to be the MWM petite sunburst.

Wow, I love the Mark Morrell sunburst! That is going to be a gorgeous ring! I hope others chime in but I think you will be fine w/no. 2 and save some money; I have a VS2 G stone and I do not notice any inclusions at all. I had an eye clean SI1 so I think a VS1 is totally great and safe, just my 2 cents.

I agree with Skippy. Both stones are excellent, but I doubt you''d be able to tell the difference side by side. If money was no object, I could go either way, but I think the G VS1 is going to be equally good in appearance for a significant amount less money.

I like number 2 better. As others have mentioned the VVS is overkill and both are well-cut. I actually slightly prefer the second one''s cut more, but both should be amazing stones. Save the 1k and put it towards a nice setting.
