Thoughts on RHR with a 3 stone Ering?

Hi folks! :wavey:

I have a dilemma! Plus, I'm bored  My 30th is several months off yet, but like a good PSer the cogs are already turning, and I'm contemplating and starting to save for a diamond RHR to mark the occasion :Up_to_something:

I absolutely love all these beautiful 5 stone rings that are appearing, but wondering if they are a bit... I dunno, predictable, or *gasp* dare I say 'boring' (for lack of a better word!) or too matchy matchy as a RHR with a 3 stone Ering, and a full eternity both on my left hand? My Ering is .35, .70, .37, and pricewise I'd be looking at about .30-.35 each for a five stone.

My other thought is a light yellow diamond with yellow prongs in a WG halo, however I'm a yellow gold girl and worry it might clash with everything else, or be a bit dressy as a weekend piece. I know, woe is me :rodent:

My 'everyday' pieces are my full WG eternity with my YG 3 stone (white gold prongs), WG tennis bracelet on the right wrist, and WG diamond studs. So the bands on my rings are YG, but any 'prong' is WG. I know a YG five stone with WG prongs would match, but do you reckon it'd be toooooo matchy?

Thoughts??

OOPS! The other thing I was considering is perhaps a solitaire, I LOVE the BGD Tapered Tiffany Half Round, or perhaps something like an AVC in a solitaire ala our lovely arjunajane (alot smaller though!)

Looking back at all that, I'm thinking I don't know what I want :rodent: Definitely a ring though, at least I have that bit down pat.

How about a light yellow diamond 5stone? A little more casual than a halo/solitaire, and I think if I saw one on someone's finger I'd follow her down the street (whether or not that's a good thing is a different issue..) - matching stones could be a pain though, definitely something to get a good head-start on if you want it by birthday time :naughty:

OOH I hadn't thought of that! Another one to add to the list, thanks Yssie!! And you seriously crack me up, just picturing you following a lady down the street to sneak a peek at her bling

Oooh, DandiAndi, I like your style!! A 5 stone RHR and a yellow diamond with yellow prongs and a halo are the exact 2 rings I have been debating over for my RHR. I decided to go with a 5 stone BUT ONLY bc I have a halo as my e-ring right now and will one day use that halo for a yellow diamond (after I upgrade my e-stone :naughty: )

My vote is the yellow diamond w/halo. I think that bc it will have yellow prongs and a yellow stone, it will be PERFECT to wear w/both yellow or WG. And the 5 stone yellow ring sounds heavenly  Just think of the trellis part of the ring in rich yellow gold and maybe a WG shank?? Yummy!!

I cant wait to see what you decide!!

Edited to add: If it was a graduated 5 stone w/light yellow diamonds it wouldnt be as hard to find matching stones. You would have to find 2 pairs slightly different sizes and then one for the center. Not simple, no, but not as hard as all 5 being the same size :D

lbbaber, you are so right! Finding pairs for a graduated 5 stone would be a ton easier! And thankyou so much for your suggestions, I'm leaning towards the yellow diamond in a halo too! I've seen a couple on DBL's website that are  :lickout:

DandiAndi,

Are you a colored stone kind of girl? Or are you wanting to keep it diamonds for a big birthday?

I have a three stone ering too with a plain band (Asscher), and my dream is to have a sapphire rhr, but I need to save my pennies. :twirl: There are some gorgeous rings over in colored stones.

If you want to stay with diamonds, I like the suggestion of a graduated yellow five stone--unusual, classy, can dress up or down. I can't wait to hear what you decide!!!

Ohhh I vote for Yssie's idea! :appl:

I'm no help - they all sounds very pretty to me. The 5 stone band in yellow diamonds sounds very cool. LOL at Yssie following someone down the street to try and see their jewelry.
