Thoughts on recreating this Edwardian ring?

Hello,
I have a 1ct round diamond on its way to me which I had originally planned on placing in a solitaire setting. Then I started browsing pictures of rings online and came across this Edwardian ring that made my heart skip a beat and am now considering going in this direction instead. I am hesitant because I have never seen or tried a ring like this one on in person, but I do love it in the close up pics. I just have no idea what it will actually look like on my hand.
Does anyone on PS have a similar ring that has shared pictures?
I contacted DK and have received a quote and have some changes in mind I would make, mainly in the gallery view, keeping it more open so I could get in there easily to clean the diamond. Any thoughts on the ring, good or bad would be appreciated :)

I think it's gorgeous!!!

Gosh - that’s really pretty. Love it.

That’s a gorgeous ring - if you’re not sure how it would look, there’s an app called Beaumade which lets you take a photo of your hand and then virtually try on rings. If you download it, there’s a few rings under the Victor Barboné collection with a similar shape and look to them. So you could see how it looks that way?

Thank you for suggesting this! I will go check it out now :)

Single Stone has a ring with similar shoulders that made my heart go pitter pat.... I’ll find it! I love the Edwardian period. :kiss2:

I think its very pretty!

Thank you so much for sharing these threads! They were very helpful. SingleStone rings are amazing! One thing I did notice it that most of the center stones are 1.5ct to 2.5ct. I'm wondering if my 1ct stone might be a little too small for this type of setting? I am planning on trading up this stone in 5 years or so, and am wondering since this setting might look better with a larger stone, if I should wait to have it made until then. So many decisions :)
