Thoughts on Diamond?

Hey all - I have the following diamond on hold and am seriously considering purchasing it - https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-details/LD06403268

GIA - 7272435074

Wanted to know everyone’s thoughts. Here are mine:

Cut - Falls in both AGS Ideal and GIA Excellent. Scores 1 on HCA and 100 on Enchanted Diamonds cut calculator. Asked for ASET or Idealscope image but unfortunately they can’t provide.

Color - H is the lowest color I wanted to go. I am setting in Platinum so hoping this combined with the cut will make it face up white.

Fluorescence - Faint shouldn’t have an impact?

Clarity - Confirmed with blue bile that it was eye clean (even though I know VVS2’s always should be). I know many on this board preach to go down in clarity and bump up other C’s. However, I’m well within my budget and not finding any other diamonds that check all my boxes.

Carat - Wanted above 1.5 carats.

Price - Based on the Diamond Screener it seems like a good deal?

What am I missing? Biggest negative to me is that I couldn’t receive any light performance confirmation. Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated!

should be good, no issues with the video. Wish BN would do Ideal-scope pics - even the wierd colored images they did when they were with GCAL though

Hi and welcome!

It looks like a very fine diamond indeed. You're correct, faint fluorescence shouldn't have any impact at all, you won't see anything in VVS2 unless you have X Ray vision, colour is good, proportions are excellent, price looks fine.

If going without images, from what can be supposed from the info we have and the video, it should be a beautiful stone. Plus BN have an excellent return policy should you need it.
