Thoughts on cushion brilliant vs round brilliant?

Hi everyone! I am trying to decide between cushion and round. In the photos below the cushion is: F, VS1, 3.5 and the round is 2.9 ( Don't have the other stats at the moment). What are your thoughts/ views about these two cuts?

That’s a tough call - both look beautiful! I am assuming color and clarity is about the same for both? Price the same or no? What types of settings are you considering for both? Some of that would play into my decision. I am a round brilliant girl but that cushion does look beautiful too!

Most importantly, what are your knee jerk reaction to both of them!

Thank you! Yes, the color and clarity are about the same for both! The round is 10k cheaper than the cushion. I honestly love both cuts but I think I am leaning towards the cushion more. Although, I love the brilliance in the round.

I think I prefer a more simple setting for the round- platinum, solitaire. As for the cushion, I am considering baguettes...

Well, 10k is a significant difference between the two but it really does come down to personal preference. I prefer the brilliance of the round but I understand the allure of the cushion. I think you have a tough choice!

Normally I lean round, but there's something about that cushion that looks very proportional and lovely on your hand

All I can say is this is one tough decision.
The shape appeal of cushion is really nice. Which is more lively?
I get the feeling that you think you should get the round yet are more drawn to the cushion. Only thing to consider is if you will be happy with a cushion your whole life.

That is a great way to put it in perspective..Will I be happy with a cushion my whole life?.. Yes, I think I so! lol.

Because I am a one ering girl, I don’t think I could ever give up the round for that very reason. I love looking at all of the beautiful shapes and can certainly appreciate them all. However, the brilliance and symmetry of the round just gets me every time!

....you see so many beautiful images of rounds because everyone has them! Choose with your heart and what makes you happiest! The flip a coin trick always works for me

ETA: I meant to also say that you don't see as many cushion pictures because they're not as ubiquitous, but there are plenty of gorgeous cushions out there too!

Cushion is my favorite shape so I vote for that! I am surprised that the round is less expensive.

I have learned through this ring shopping process that quality cushions are so rare! I feel as though I may be looking for the perfect cushion for a long time as my options seem limited. Still deciding if I should just go with this particular cushion. ( At this point I think I will get a cushion for sure)
