Thoughts on A Jaffe settings

My boyfriend recently purchased a round diamond (.77 carats, VS2, F, ideal cut). I have these 2 settings in mind, and I really like the second one with the one band (3 split shank). I am afriad that this will make my diamond appear small (since it''s not a huge stone). I really like the setting on my small, size 4, long fingers, but am very worried the width of the band will overpower the diamond. Anyone''s thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated!

I would ask the jewler if the width of the band changes with the sixe of the stone. Maybe a thinner band would not seem to "over power" the stone. I would try to see it with the closest size stone so then you could get a better idea of what they would look like. They are both beautiful settings, but I do see your oncern with the width.

I think the first setting would look beautiful- but the second one may make your stone look small since it seems to be more substantial- plus it looks to have more metal around the diamond than the first one.
