Hi Everyone!

Been reading this forum and have received great information from you all. Thanks for that!
I'm getting ready to buy a ring soon.

Thoughts on these specs...

SHAPE: Round
CARAT WEIGHT: 1.50
COLOR: H
CLARITY: VS1
CUT: Excellent
POLISH: Excellent
SYMMETRY: Excellent
FLUORESCENCE: Faint
L/W/D (MM): 7.24*7.30*4.57
L/W RATIO: 1.01
DEPTH %: 62.90

CERTIFICATE: GIA
CROWN ∠: 35.50

The main thing I am concerned about is the Faint Fluorescence.

Faint fluorescence is a non-issue. The biggest problem I see is that it is too deep making it face up a little smaller than it should in diameter. You want a maximum of 62.3% depth. A 1.5 ct should be 7.35-7.4 in mm, usually.

These are measurements to help you stay in ideal cut territory with a GIA excellent cut stone.

crown angle: 34-35.0

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0)

Thank you very much. I didn't know that the depth% was that significant as well as the length needing to be 7.35-7.4.
I'll keep looking then.
Thanks again

62.9% is too deep. I'd prefer to stay under 62%.

Thank you for your replies! It's very helpful.

Thoughts on these diamond? There are a few things different between them and the price is +/-$500 difference, so not much. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You need to post crown and pavilion angles for these stones as well.
