Thoughts about antiquing?

I recently upgraded my e-ring to a dreamy David Klass OEC and I am thinking about antiquing the scroll work when I get it sized. I've never done this before and am afraid I'll ruin the setting. I'm all ears for any feedback, pics, experience so please share!

It sort of looks antiqued in the picture but I think it's the lighting/shadows. Sorry, it's not the greatest camera.

Your ring is gorgeous! I don't know enough about DK's antiquing to have an opinion, but I think you are more likely to get responses if you move this thread to Rocky Talky.

there are lots (maybe most?) antiquing treatments which can be reversed, i'm sure he could suggest something that isn't permanent if you want to try it out. pretty rings!

The antiquing looks great but fades /washes away over time, and then you either live with it or get it redone. I had a ring that came that way but it faded, not completely evenly either. Love the look but just be aware it might need maintenance.
That 3 stone is perfectly beautiful as is too!
