I was able to see it for a second and then it disappeared saying that bidding has ended. It was pretty scary. Also scary....the dolls that ebay showed as those I may be interested in.

Bidding has ended but you can still page down to see at least the one picture of the doll if you dare :o

What freaks me out the most is that she slipped him in among all those other sweet little babies (granted they are creepily realistic).

All of these reborns freak me out anyway, but I think Voldy may just become real and murder his "parents."

I don't know if she'll get a cease and desist, there are lots of Registered HP products that are sponsored links.

oh my!!!! I looked and almost jumped back six feet!!! Your post did have the 'scary' caveat, so no-one to blame but myself for looking! Who on earth would want to buy one of these - scary scary scary!

Imagine waking up in the wee small hours, and just for a moment you forget you have it - and out the corner of your eye...there it is...looking...watching...in the shadows...

;))

Why did bidding end? It wasn't because someone bought the thing, I hope!!

You have to wonder who in their right mind would buy it if that is the case. I'd be terrified to have something like that in my house, looking over my shoulder and waiting for it to creep up on me... :errrr:

Even though it scares the crap out of me, it's clearly well-made. She put some effort into it...but dear lord. I would feel the need to get it blessed and keep it in a locked safe so it wouldn't get me at night!

I have a doll phobia anyway, sort of. But this one is way worse than the rotating head circus doll I was given as a child.

Exactly! I'd have it all surrounded by my grandma's idols and incense. My house would reek but I would feel safe, lol.

Eww.
I always find it disturbing when something seems part-human, part-not.
It reminds me of that dog-human art piece.

Kenny, did you know there's actually a term for things which are so-human-its-horrifying? It's called the Uncanny Valley.

Did anyone else look at her other stuff and see the clown baby and wish for the brain bleach, stat? OH DEAR GOD. I can't unsee it!

I'd buy it just to take it off of ebay!!! I'd throw it away without opening the box!

Shudder!! I would not want to meet that thing in a dark alley. Or have it looking at me across the room after I turn out the light.

I think they are kind of neat. I cant imagine a use for them but there is no denying the skill that goes into making them. They are beautiful in a way. A work of art. I would buy Voldemort. Seriously. But I am aslo a horror movie junkie.

I saw a show once that featured women that can't have children (for whatever reason) and they obsessively collect and "play with" these kind of dolls. It featured some sick women walking around with strollers and people would stop and say "what a beautiful baby" and the women would smile and say "thank you". It was sad and disturbing.

Regardless though, they are beautiful dolls. Even Lord Voldemort--lol

Ok seriously? WTF. I wanna know who would buy these and more importantly, WHY?

Oh that was scary to look at. Gave me chills. Why are these all called "Reborn"? Is that the Brand? The name Reborn freaks me out too. :???:

They are definitely beautiful but in a scary, oh so realistic kind of way.

I can totally see people buying them for that reason and it IS really sad but I'm not sure what else they could be bought for besides maybe halloween or as a prop or something.

Interesting point. I realize what it scary to me is not only how lifelike they are, but why people would want lifelike dolls like that. The shock at the doll itself stems a bit from what they are used for.
