Thank you all for your well wishes and messages of support.
I have spent today trying to make notes as how I should best present myself and it is difficult. Then my laptop died so I have had to send it in for repair and DH''s laptop uses Vista so it is not configured to my printer and it took me an age to work out that I need to download a vista driver. All so I can print out copies of my CV to bring with me. Typical that my laptop died just when I really need it. Stupid thing. Bah.
I cannot get this interview out of my mind. I feel like I am standing on the edge of something great; but there is a long drop down if I fail again. I am really trying to think positively and imagine that I get the job. I know that I am qualified, have experience and would be great at this job - the problem is convincing the interviewers! I am trying to imagine how great it would be to post here that I got it....wow, it would be something really great if I did.
Thank you for wishing me well and please think of me on Tuesday. Keep the good vibes coming.
The BEST of luck, steel. I''ve just recently found out how it feels to suddenly realize that that childhood feeling of being able to do anything you want just isn''t true, that for whatever reason there are some careers that just aren''t possible for you. To hold a dream so dearly, for so long, and actually have it within reach... what a wonderful position to be in!
When I''m nervous I clam up and put on my poker face, so this is my advice to you: let that you want this so very much come through in your interview. That you honestly, truly want it will make the best impression that can be made
Steel remember that in order to convince the interviewers that you are right for the job you need to convince YOURSELF first. So be confident-you KNOW you can kick a** at this job so now is your chance to show them what you are made of!
I have been so nervous today. I completed my research this morning and and am prepping ''suitable'' replies to interview questions now. I truly hope that I can post back here and say I got it. I have all my fingers and toes crossed. It means so much.
NF I think you have a good point. I ''know'' I will do an outstanding job & I would appreciate the opportunity like nobody else. But my inner realist knows that does not mean they will choose me. I think you have a good point because I have to take a leap of faith and lower my guard. Just because I have been rejected by other firms in the past does not mean this firm will not want me. In fact I have more experience than ever before so I am a different candidate today. I am forcing myself to take deep breaths and analyse my strengths; because truly, I believe I should get this job.
I have been super stressed about this interview for over a week now and I have 1 day to go. I feel so excited and anxious I just hope I can keep it together and wow the interviewers.
Sending tons of ***DUST**** to you Steel. You have been wanting this for soooo long, I am sure you will ROCK this interview. You DO deserve it!!! So good luck, I am going to keep my fingers and toes crossed for you for good measure. Best of luck!!!!!
sending lots and lots of dust your way! I really hope you get it, you really deserve it!!!

^dust lol
I can't tell you all how it warms my heart to see your support here, thank you for taking the time to post and wish me well.
So the interview went very well and I certainly did not botch it up. It lasted an hour which I hope was a good thing. I am sure that I managed to convey my skill set and my dedication to the career and I hope that I did enough to convince them that I am the right person for this job. It is out of my hands now, but I will continue to pray.
On reflection I feel that I have achieved all I could achieve and it is all I can do now to just hope and pray that they choose me.
P.S. Maisie, nice to see you. No need to reply to me, just wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about you and wishing you nothing but the very best.
Steel that is wonderful that you feel so good about the interview! I am sending out all my hopes that it turns out in your favour, but I hope you can enjoy the success you have achieved so far -- obtaining an interview and doing your best -- no matter what happens in the future!
