Thinking of you Steel! I really want you to get this.

If I knew what the h€ll Delster was talking about I''d probably say it sounds like good advice

Damn I was so hoping you''d have heard! Sending more dust!

Hang in there Steel. Sometimes when one door closes a better one opens up. You never know so hang on.

Thank you for your kind words Bee, Luv2Sparkle, MZ, DF, Cehrabehra, Skippy, RegGuy, Canuk-gal, Delster & Porridge

I didn't get offered the job.

I found out today that they have already hired the other applicant.

I hope they know how lucky they are and wish them every success.

aww steel, I''m so very sorry, But I do feel that when one door closes another one opens for some other opportunities.

I am sorry that you didn''t get the position. I hope the next door that opens for you is even better... HUGS!

the road to success is never obvious.......and is very very bumpy. this is one of those bumps. i know you''re down but, my dear, you are not out! you do need to do what is necessary to keep yourself afloat financially, but keep your mind open....as well as your eyes and your heart....to an opportunity you may have never considered. i don''t believe there is any such thing as a last chance....as long as we breathe and awake each day, there are chances. be open to them.

mz

ps remember: you are a great person with or without this job!

I''m so sorry to hear it Steel. Ditto everyone else - look for other avenues and opportunities. I know something will come up soon. I bet you were high up on their list. Who knows, maybe it won''t work out with the applicant they hired?

Get your hubby and some ice-cream and have a comfort night. Things will work out.

Bummer. I was checking in here hoping to see good news. Sometimes you don''t know why things happen the way they do.

I''m so sorry to hear that Steel-sending tons and tons of hugs. I agree with MZ-this is not your last chance-there will be others.

I am so sorry to hear that you did not get the job. I am (im)patiently waiting to hear if I will get my dream job as well, so I understand what you''re going through. I will just echo what everyone has said - that when one door closes, another opens. I believe there is a better opportunity out there just waiting for you! HUGS!!!

Ditto!

Steels, I have been following this thread but never chimp in. I just want to say this, do not give up. Keep applying for your dream job.

A friend of mine graduated right around the time the dot com bubble burst. At that time she did not have any experience in her field of study, IT. She had to take a job in a factory doing labor work for a little more than a year before she landed a sales job (that''s not what she wanted either), but both jobs helped her pay for her student loans and other bills. It took her more than 2 years since graduation to find an "office" job (her position was the lowest in the company), and it was not related to IT either and the pay was low (but then again, it helped pay for the bills). My friend is very knowledgeable in her field and she works extra hard. She always updates herself on the current technology even though at the time she was never in an IT field. Maybe that''s why after 4 years of graduation she finally landed a job related to IT (entry level). She''s now a project leader in an IT company. I share her story with you hope you would not give up. Hang in there.

I''m so sorry Steel. I know how much you had your heart set on this job.

Let yourself be sad. It''s a huge disappointment. But I know that right now someone is out there looking for exactly what you have to offer. May the universe unite you soon!

Steel, I have been following this thread, but I have never replied. I''m sorry you didn''t get the job, but as they say a new door open when one closes. That is more than a cliche to me as I have lived this a few times in my life, and I am possibly about to undergo such a process again. So, don''t lose heart; you will find a career you are happy doing until you retire.

I''m sorry Steel. ((HUGE HUG))

Gosh, I''m so sorry, Steel. Hugs.
