@dk168 I saw this on his IG page, lucky you! It’s beautiful, what size and cut are you anticipating?

Thanks!

I opted for a skinny EC and cut for colour rather than maximum size, estimated to be 7.5 X 12mm, and it will be set as a ring as it is too small for a pendant for me.

DK :))

Really lovely! I am a big fan of pink/imperial topazes. I think that a ring will be great with a slim and long stone.

I need a skinny stone for my chubby size 12 middle left hand finger!

Here are the inspiration ring settings I have in mind:

I love the delicate color. I am sure it will turn out beautifully. The inspiration pics are gorgeous.

Those are lovely inspiration pics. Adore the strong geometry in them. They have an Art Deco influence in thier geometric clarity and strong, clear lines.

I love your inspiration pics too. Can’t wait to see the final result. Pls keep us posted!

Thanks everyone for your kind words.
However please do not hold your breath as I am unlikely to be able to set it for a good few years.

omg omg omg! Gorgeous!
I would be tempted to have a piece of rough set as a crystal point pendant.

Beautiful piece of rough Dora! Do you now know whether it is indeed yours? I love your setting inspiration.

What are your bling plans for the coming years?

I’m with you, such beautiful creations of Mother Nature

Pic of the cut stone, and it turned out to be bigger stone than expected, 9.23 ct and 8.58 x 14.22 mm!
It was originally estimated as 7.5 x 12.5mm, so I had done well and got a bargain.
If I could, I would have it set as in a convertible ring/pendant setting to get the most out of it. Otherwise it will be a pendant.
Love it and thank you Jeff!

Such a beautiful topaz! Just love it!

I am swooning over that delicate gorgeous pink!

It is stunning! Such a lovely shade of pink. :appl::appl::appl:

Congrats!

What a fabulous pink! Great choice dk!
Looking forward to see it set. Do you have a specific pendant setting in mind?

I have posted two inspiration pendant designs further up. :P2

Hopefully, I could have something similar in a convertible ring/pendant setting.

It looks amazing. Congratulations!

Gorgeous topaz DK! Please post a hand shot for us to drool over.

Brazilian pink topaze is always heated to my knowledge.

Pink Katlang topaze is untreated and colored by chromium.

These stones will not fade in sunlight like other material from Katlang which is light peach or brownish peach - irradiation give them a stronger color but often after a few days in sunlight they loose the color.

You have such a stunning and large JW collection! Which stones do you have from him till sofar? He seems to be your favourite cutter!

None of his has been set for one reason or another!
In order of purchase date, oldest to newest:

The Rubellite about 9mm that was intended to be used in an interchangeable pendant bale design with his white Topaz, however it is likely to be set as a ring now:
tml110.jpg

The said white Topaz again about 9mm that is likely to be set as a pendant bale to take different pearl drops:
tpz011.jpg

The whopping Danburite, about 18mm, originally intended as a pearl clasp that can take different pearl strands. It may remain as such, however I may set it in a plain basket to be worn as a pendant for the time being as it will take ages to save up for the pearl strands I have in mind:
dan003.jpg

The Aqua he cut for me, to be set in a three-stone ring with Morganite traps that he has also cut for me for this stone:
byl028.jpg

The said Morganite traps:

The most recent ones, the Imperial Topaz and the synthetic Emerald (apologies in advance for posting a synthetic, however it is difficult to separate the two as this is the only finished stone pic I have of the Emerald):

If all goes according to plan, I shall start saving up for a medium blue Sapphire to be cut in his signature Asscher so that I could have a windmill. :cool2:

I guess I like working with Jeff W for his great cuttings and good customer services. :mrgreen2:
