Thinning band on my e-ring

i Don’t want to sound crazy but I’m thinking of asking WF to thin my e-ring a tad. It’s the vatche Caroline and it’s at 2.3mm width. When I started searching for an upgrade e-ring I wanted to go THIN pave but didn’t due to advice/durability decided on solitaire and the Caroline is 2.3-2.5mm. I requested it not be wider than 2.3. However I have SHORT sz 7-7.5 fingers and I’m feeling like it’s too much. I know it is not considered WIDE but with my wedding band it’s literally driving my crazy (feel and look, mostly feeling). I’m looking into getting an e-ring that can be a stand alone - I know I can wear whatever I want but I’m not comfortable wearing a solitaire As a stand alone. Either that or I want a very thin pave e-ring and matching thin wedding band. I can stand only about 3mm total on my finger. Unfortunately just realizing this now: alll along its not my ring/s I’m unhappy with, its my fingers. HOWEVER i just bought this vatche less than a year ago and I can’t get a different ring right now. Maybe 1-2 years. SO I’d like to thin my Caroline. I tried a 2mm diamond band with the current solitaire and the solitaire looks wider and overpowered the band and to me looked so odd. So I have my 2.6mm diamond band which looks fine but feels too wide and practically hits my knuckle. I don’t have enough room on my finger!

I also think the 2.3mm just doesn’t allow the center stone to stand out as much. What do you think? 1.195 carat ACA princess cut. My finger doesn’t give this stone justice :( Second photo is just a pic I found and I feel like thinner would be better in my case (maybe not that thin).

My husband thinks I’ll never be happy with my ring and said they should offer ring leases since I change my mind so much lol but I WANT a forever ring so bad... I’m just taking a while to figure out what I want.

Also wish it was set a tad higher but learning as i go. I don’t want it to look thin and awkward at the culet of the diamond. I love the head/profile view of the Ritani endless love micropave for this reason.

I have short fingers as well and completely understand why you would want it thinner, when I redo my ring ago I will be requesting the same thing! Hopefully WF will it

I do see what you mean. It’s crazy how different a fraction of a mm will make! I hope it’s possible for them to thin the band.

I feel your pain. I’m completely torn about what setting to get as well. Simple 6 prong, pave, halo??? Ahhh! If you do opt to reset your setting WF does offer a 50% trade up for their designer settings, which include Vatche. I know settings don’t come cheap though.

Thank you. I’m not crazy lol!

So does the trade up work if I don’t go with another vatche or do I have to stick with the same designer? I totally forgot about this. Oh boy I’m in trouble now as soon as I figure out what I want!

“All engagement rings from the collections of our designer partners Tacori, Verragio, Simon G, Ritani, Danhov and Vatche are eligible for trade up to any other single designer item of this group of designers that is equal to or greater in value. 50% of the original sale price for the item will be credited toward the new purchase.”

Quoted from WF. It’s based off the eligibility when you first purchased. I see the policy was updated 6/7/2018 so hopefully it was the same or similar when you purchased a year ago.
