After MANY hours of research you guys have convinced me to buy the diamond online. Bluenile seems to be the most reputable from a wide variety of sources. I like a particular setting at Jareds much more than anything I''ve found online however and it''s a reasonable price. I''d like to have them set the diamond as well in their setting, is this common or even possible?
I talked to the salesgirl at Jared''s and of course she gave me a hundred reasons why Bluenile was no good. (IGI laser enscribes their diamonds, Bluenile doesn''t. GIA has one college student evaluating each diamond etc.) Her biggest objection seemed to be if I bought the diamond and it had flaws in the girdle they may not be able to set it properly. She said just buy the diamond and they would "see" if they could set it.
Your thoughts? ( I appreciate all the help btw!)
