Just wanted to mention that I reread this post. I was on the phone with the florist for my wedding next week when I was typing this - she doesn''t think my peonies are going to match my napkins - so I was talking and typing at the same time. Did not realize that I used the word "really" three times in three sentences. Sorry - I don''t normally talk quite so much like a 15 year old boy asking a girl to the prom. Really.

Yay thing-I''d love to know more. I always find myself nodding in agreement with you on ATW!

YAH!! Hiya Thing!

2, I just had to tell I died laughing at your post in ATW about having to pray 192 times.

<--- See? I'm doing it again. Anywho, I'm done posting in there, I can't take it, too much negativity. Call me a whimp, I dun care.

Thing, even though we''re on opposite ends of the political spectrum, I can''t help but think we would get along so well in real life. I love your sense of humor...you remind me of one of my very best friends.

Now what to ask.....................
What was the better middle school slow-dance song? "On bended knee" or "Stairway to heaven"
lmao!

gotta join the thing2 lovefest!

Okay, I peeked at some other threads and got the general idea of what I should write so I'll just start flapping! Watch out though-once I get started it's hard to stop me!

I'm the youngest of five children-I have two brothers and two sisters. One of my two sisters is my twin sister-she's Thing 1! She's 18 minutes older than me so I'm still technically the baby. I'm very close to my twin sister and we talk several times a day on the phone and we see each other almost every day. This is made easier by the fact that she now lives in the same apartment building as me! We're fraternal twins, not identical twins, but a lot of people think we're identical. I don't think we look that much alike, though! I'll have to post a picture of us in this thread.

My other siblings are a lot older than me-one of my brothers is five years older than me, one of them is seven years older than me, and my older sister is ten years older than me. She helped my mom take care of my twin sister and me when we were little (she loved it because she said we were like real life dolls), and we actually called her and my mom "Mommy" for a while. I am still close to her, too, and we talk pretty often. All of my older siblings are married with kids-I have four nieces and three nephews, and one more niece or nephew on the way in December.

And believe it or not, my entire family is Republican except for me and my twin sister! Let's just say things can get a little heated! My mom put a ban on all political talk before the election, but I somehow still managed to get in a few good arguments with my brother and father!

I was raised Catholic but am not a practicing Catholic anymore, and I haven't been since probably high school. I was basically a feminist before I knew what one was, and I still remember being pissed in elementary school that I couldn't be an altar server. The older I got, the less I agreed with a lot of the politics and stances of the Catholic church, so now I'm a big ol' heathen! The rest of my family, with the exception of my twin sister and I, are practicing Catholics.

So yeah, me and my twin sister are the black sheep of the family! At least I have a black sheep twin!

I am engaged to a super sweet dreamboat who treats me like a queen...even when I don't deserve it! (Which is probably most of the time!) We've been dating for 5.5 years and are getting married 7/11/09. We got engaged about a year and a half ago, the day before our 4 year anniversary.

I'm a buyer for a clothing boutique, which is super fun. We carry men's and women's premium denim, contemporary clothing, shoes and accessories. I travel pretty often to trade shows and showroom appointments in NYC, Las Vegas and sometimes LA. I love love love clothing, shoes and handbags and I love to shop. I buy most of my clothes from my store, so I get a sweet discount, which is nice, but I could definitely stand to spend less money on clothes, shoes and handbags!

My main hobby (besides playing on PS and shopping!) is soccer. I've played soccer since I was five years old, and I still play three times a week. I play on an indoor co-ed team and an outdoor co-ed team with my fiance and my twin sister, and my twin sister and I play on an outdoor women's team also. That's pretty much all I do for exercise, which is fine when I'm playing 3 times a week, but not so fine when I'm in between my outdoors seasons and am only playing once a week!

I'm finally getting my B.S. in Psychology this December, at the age of 27. I took a solid 4 year break from school and went back last fall to finally finish. I'm probably going to keep working at my current job as a buyer for the time being. I am interested in behavioral and clinical research, though, so I'm thinking about becoming a research assistant. However, my job is so fun that it's pretty hard to imagine making a job switch! That's my big struggle right now, although it's probably not too much of a struggle because I doubt I could find a new job in the current economy if I tried!

ETA that I forgot to talk about my kitties! I am a crazy cat lady and I have 3 gorgeous kitties-Charles, Olivia and Ophelia. Charles was a feral kitten that my fiance tamed when he was in college. Olivia was a rescue and so was Ophelia. They all have funny and distinct personalities and they make me super happy and keep me very entertained!

Alright, this is probably more than enough for now...let me know if you have any questions for me!

Hahaha-glad you liked it, Ellen!

I''ll miss your rational and intelligent posts in ATW, though, but I understand! It seems to have just gotten nastier since the election was over, but I kind of love the drama so I know I''ll stick around!

Hahaha! You know, you''re one of the reasonable Republicans! You go in that category with TGal and sometimes even strm!

I bet we would get along great in real life...although I might try to convert you to the dark side!

And the best middle school slow-dance song is too easy: End of The Road, by Boyz II Men, without a doubt!

It''s nice to read a bit about you.

Thanks EBree! And Maggie and Skippy and bee* and coati and Maisie and Sparks and Linda and Moon!

I love that my fave PSers love me back!

Okay, here''s a pic of me and my twin sister in Costa Rica in March. (At the very beginning of the trip when we were really pale!) I''m on the left.

n710495962_1110282_3220.jpg

And now of my fiance by himself looking super handsome. I''ll have to hunt down one of us together-I don''t have a ton of pictures on my computer because I don''t take very many. (That''s my fiance and my twin sister''s job!)

picture-52.jpg

And now my kitties! Here''s Olivia (also in my avatar)-she is a Maine Coone girl that I got when she was a tiny baby from a random person at PetSmart. This girl was walking around with her and I went up to the girl and was freaking out and petting her, when the girl says "Do you want her? You can have her-I can''t keep her." I obviously said YES and took my little girl home! She''s fluffy but is actually very small-she only weighs 6 pounds.

boliviadsddd.jpg

And my big orange guy Charles. He''s technically my fiance''s but I''ve legally adopted him! He''s a big sweetheart (12 pounds!) who snuggles with me every night!

IMG_2320sdfds.jpg

And our newest addition, Ophelia! I got her from a local cat rescue that had their kitties at PetSmart. My twin sister found her and I was forced to adopt her! She is a funny and talkative girl who loves to sprint around and play tag with me!

IMG_2331jkjkj.jpg

And me with all of my siblings! We're all squinty and weird looking in this picture but oh well! It's the most recent one I have of all of us together! (It was Father's Day a year or two ago so that's why my brothers are wearing the embarrassing dad shirts!)

L to R: younger older brother, twin sister, older sister, me, older older brother!

OK...Thing2, you and your siblings are adorable! Your fiance is HOT! And your kitties are sweet! But a mere 6 lbs for a Maine Coone?? Wow! That''s tiny! I had a Birman that weighed 6 lbs and she was a delicate little girl indeed! They''re supposed to weight in around 8-9 for the girls...

And oh NO!! You''ve been psychoanalyzing all of us! Eeek!!

Thanks, ksinger! I think he's a dreamboat, myself!

Yeah, Olivia was really tiny when I got her and she actually had worms so I think it stunted her growth.

I actually never knew a thing about Maine Coones but when I took her to the vet they told me she was definitely all or most Maine Coone. I looked into Maine Coones after the vet told me she was one and she has all of the characteristics-a little trilling kind of meow, she LOVES the water, her fur is kind of water resistant, etc. (Speaking of water, she basically showers under the faucet in the tub and she only drinks water out of the bathroom sink faucet or the tub faucet!) But definitely no pedigree or anything!

I had a Maine Coone at one time too. She was a decent cat, but we actually had philosophical differences. The one and only cat that I''ve not gotten along with in my life. But I gave her to a nice family (family of a friend) who had dogs, and she was quite happy then. So I don''t feel too badly. Now, the Birman, she was a doll. A bitchy little diva of a former show cat. The DH and I don''t currently have any cats, but he loves Russian Blues and I love Birmans, so I suspect we''ll have to get 2 when the time comes. For now we have a big, goofy black lab named Duke. A comedic chow hound.
