Thinking of getting this ring to wear with my soon-to-be-finished bezelled OEC:

I wondered how well they hold up over time. If you take reasonable care and remove it for harsh activities, can you expect it to last 20+ years? Or does it naturally have a short lifespan?
It looks like it will lose a stone if you breathe on it, but is that really the case?
