Hi,
I am new to pricescope. I have been looking for a few days now and decided to jump in.
I am hoping someone can help me. Although I love jewelry diamonds I know little about the little details.
2 questions:
1. Does anyone know thediamond.com (or scheiner) and have any information about them. They seem OK to do business with but hoping to get some input since I have never purchased anthing so expensive online.
2. They have a round diamond I am interested in that has a table of 58% on the GIA report. The sarin examination they sent me has a table of 57% and the diamond got a 000 grade.
This is where I get confused. Can the saring and GIA not be the same? And if the sarin gave 000 does it mean it is an ideal cut? The diamond has very good polish and symmetry.
Mr. Scheiner told me that the diamond is very good cut quality since the GIA gave it a 58% but if it had been 57% everything else is ideal proportions. He also said that looking at the diamond there is no way I could tell the difference between a VG cut with 58 table and an ideal with 57 table.
Does all this make sense???
Thanks for any help
