The TRR Rescue Thread: Show your treasures!

I was so sad when they first sold months ago, so when they popped back up I bought them.

I remember being disappointed when they sold but didn't see them pop back up. I'm so glad you got them!

Sounds like we should have a timeshare system -- I lend you the pendant occasionally and you lend me the earrings occasionally :)

That would be wonderful :appl:

Has anyone waited a longer than usual time for a TRR refund? I thought I would ask here even though I’m not sharing a treasure. I’m getting really annoyed because I shipped two items back In the same parcel and they both arrived at the warehouse on January 17. One has been refunded and the other one has not. I have contacted customer support more than once and they always say to wait seven days. They don’t have a straight answer when I ask why one was easily refunded and the other was not. The one that isn’t refunded was more expensive. Just wondering what you guys” experience has been because I’m really losing my patience. And it’s always these overseas call centers so I feel like I’m not talking to anyone with any real authority, but I don’t know how to reach someone any other way.

I don’t, but I just wanted to say I hope everything works out ok… keep us posted. It’s so stressful waiting, if you are anything like me, I have a hard time keeping myself from going to “worst case scenario” … everything always seems to workout though! Hang in there!

Were the items on the same order? A split refund situation has never happened to me.

Once I returned 2 separate orders in the same package and I never received the second refund. I called and called, spoke to an over seas manager but got nowhere. They insisted I made a mistake packaging… I know I did not. I should have pressed and asked for video of the return but it was a low price item and eventually let it go as a lesson learned.

I'm having an issue with them right now. I returned that Tiffany Lucida band in store on Saturday, and never received a return confirmation email, which I typically receive before I even leave the store. So I've been freaking out since Saturday, checking for my refund (which I usually receive immediately), repeatedly trying to call the store (to no answer), left multiple messages, sent emails to the customer service email, and used the customer service chat feature both yesterday and today. Finally today the person I chatted with told me the ring had to be reauthenticated, which could take up to 10 business days, and only then would I receive a refund. At my request, they also finally sent me an email confirming they received the return, so I at least have a paper trail. I assume this is because it was a branded piece, or at least I hope that's why this is happening, and not a process I'll have to go through for every return now. Regardless, I'm frustrated.

Some times jewelry takes longer for a refund, sometimes it’s 1 day, sometimes it’s immediate. I wish they had an official policy. So frustrating! Edited to ad…But I have have never had a split refund like Mreader is experiencing

Yes, they keep saying re-authentication but I did not buy a branded item. And I don’t understand why one of the items was so quick and the other is taking forever. How hard can it be?

ETA - and I’m sorry your situation is taking a long time too especially since you returned it in person.

I’m just really mad because it’s on my CC, which is due soon. It needs to be refunded before that because I always pay the balance and I don’t want to have to pay the entire balance because I’m waiting on this refund and then have a huge credit.

See this is freaking me out because that’s exactly what it is. It’s two separate orders that I shipped back in the same box because they said I could do that. I put the RMA paperwork.

But it does say the item is received, and they have confirmed receiving it.

Ohhh. If they confirmed receipt of the individual RMA then you’re in queue for return. They do reauthenticate and sometimes take new photos. @Mreader

This happened to me as well. Two items returned in the same box, one was immediately refunded, and no word on the more expensive piece. I had to call customer service twice, and the second time I was assured that they had the piece, but it required additional inspection before they could confirm the refund. I felt relieved at that point because I was worried they would claim that there was only one item in the box. The refund eventually went through, but it took close to two weeks. :(2

I have had the same experience multiple times. Usually with higher priced jewelry pieces. It has taken up to 3 weeks at times. They need to wait for one of their in-house jewelers to reinspect the item to make sure it still matches the description. That is why I always note on the return (and email or text customer service so it is in writing) if the reason for the return is that it does not match the description in the listing. I have always been refunded eventually.

Ok thank you for the reassurance. :)

This must also be annoying to the consigner. Their item is in limbo.

I totally agree!

That's the sign imo. I adore earrings too.

They are post and omega back. Very comfy and a good size for me as I have large ears haha.
