What''s the solution for Diamond Shrinkage Syndrome? More diamonds! The original ring, ajaffe ME1279, center stone .53 cts, VS2, G. The side stones are both .3 cts.
I loved the ring, but always thought that the center stone was just a bit too small for the width of the band. So we went back to the jewelers and traded up. WAY up. The new center stone is a 1.05, E, SI1. A photo on the hand, this thing is soooo much bigger, and SO white and sparkles like mad!
Your upgrade is beautiful!
I love the way the stone sort of overlaps the side stones. That changes the appearance of the shape of the sides. Now the look more half moon/pearlike. That just makes the whole ring look nicer, not just the center stone.
btrflygrl23- the watch is a fossil, I got it for Christmas so it should still be available in stores.
Pink Tower- I said that exact thing when I got it back yesterday! I love the way it looks so much more now that the center stone overlaps.
Dreamer- The old center stone was a teeny bit too small for the original ring, and the new stone was a teeny bit too big, so they moved the prongs out a bit, and then cut the v''s where the diamonds sit a bit deeper into the prongs. I was shocked when they said that they could do it! And I took a profile shot for you... dunno how good it is. If you want a better one I can try again!
