Today I had to trim my plumeria tree. Got sap all over me (thats the gross part) but, lots of fantastic cuttings from this tree! I needed to prune back so it would bush up and not be so spindly. My neighbor did take a few because down here you can stick them in the ground and they'll root fine. the flowers are pink with an orangy-yellow center.

They have a sweet scent too?! I love the big white and yellow blooms.

This Japanese Maple is looking glorious. The rest of the garden is slowly waking up from winter's rest.

I created bird baths! I live near a park and we get a lot of wildlife and birds. Last summer it was dry for months and I kept putting out little shallow water containers for the birds and critters. I didn't want to do that again this year. I am going to finish the landscaping as the season progresses.

The bigger bird/critter bath is 5 foot in diameter and holds about 200 gallons of water. There is a rock shelf to prevent critters from drowning if they fall in. I have already observed the squirrels using it and at least one tree frog.

The little one holds about 25 gallons. It is in a raised bed and will have a Canna Lily/Cold Hardy Banana Tree background.

Yesterday I spied some husks on the ground, meaning that the flower spring some fruit. Low and behold I found 2. There could be more, but at least I have 2. Last year I had 1 and I didn't find it until the fruit had dried up on the tree. In 2018-2019 we had pretty terrible drought that even the mango tree was unhappy. Last year was great, lots of rain (but also lots of hurricanes!) this year may well mirror last year for storms but, the trees are exceptionally happy.

Peonies, gas plants, geraniums, Siberian Iris and Lily of the Valley. Though, if we don’t get some rain soon, it’s going to get ugly.

Sounds delicious @Matata! Nothing better than fresh picked tomatoes off the vine.

FYI unfortunately none survived, but there were a total of 6 on this tree which is way more than I've seen since 2018!

Our tomatoes are green and still small But plant four to five feet tall. But squash and cucumbers are thriving…can’t give them away fast enough!
