Kaleigh''s grandmother''s battle came to a peaceful end tonight.

She just received notice from the nursing home that Nanny has passed.

Kaleigh wanted to again thank everyone for all the prayers and well-wishes.
She is just so sad, the poor dear.
Please keep her in your thoughts- she needs all the support from everyone.

Thank you so much.

give them comfort in this time of sorrow.

that she left behind until the day when they too are

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours at this time. She must have been a great lady - she leaves a great legacy behind in you and your children. In the darkest hours our need is greatest to live a life of gratitude. I am thankful that she was such a special part of your life and that death cannot erase those memories. You were blessed to have such a special grandmother and she was blessed to have such a special caregiver. The grief begins now but so does the healing. Surround yourself in the love of your family and let yourself have some well deserved rest.

Ohhh Lisa, I''m so sorry to hear this, yet I''m so glad that you were able to share the special moments that you did during your Nanny''s last days! The exchange that you had with her at her bedside, when you told her to go and be with your loved ones, was so precious and sweet, and I''m sure that it meant everything to her to know that you were going to be OK, that you were ready to let her move on. Please know that I''m thinking about you and sending thoughts of peace and comfort!!!! We love you!!

Lisa, my heart is so heavy for you tonight. I am sending my prayers for your comfort and peace throughout this time when you must grieve such an enormous loss. You and Nanny have both been truly blessed with the special and precious relationship you shared and I know that is something you will hold close and cherish always, as well as the moment you shared when you gave her permission to let go. That is a pure, beautiful, and loving gift you gave her ~ one that many people often don''t have the opportunity or the courage to give. Bless you and your precious heart.

Thank you ALL so very much for you kind thoughts and well wishes. I''m ok. I got my wish, Nanny passed away in her sleep. She was comfortable and didn''t sufffer. I was so very blessed to have her in my life and I feel her right now. The nurses said she talked about me constantly and I feel her sitting on my shoulder. I have to infuse some humor here. It''s fitting. Remember how her ring was stolen and then her peanuts were being eaten?? So she left a note at the bottom of the peanuts, saying I have your finger prints!!! Tonight we were taking some of the valuable stuff out of her room. We came across a note that was next to her bottle of Gin. It said take one more sip, and I''ll report you. What a riot. She hasn''t had a drink in a long time but obviously she was on to people stealing her stash. Put a smile on my face when it was needed most. I''m going to miss her so very much, but she''s here with me now and always will be in my heart. As I told her yesterday, we will meet in our dreams.
