Tiffany-

I'm no expert, but so far it looks good with your O date at CD 19. A few more high temps should confirm. I'd guess you're getting the dotted lines because you had EW and W earlier and C during the temp rise. But you don't have to have EWCM when you O, it's just better that you do.

Is this your first month using the monitor? Is it the Clear Blue Easy?

Ugh. Fertility friend is giving me a headache right now. Anyway, earlier when I switched from "advanced" to "research" it changed the o date. Not that it matters really but I was going to show that chart too.

EBree- It is the clear blue easy monitor. I have been using it since last September, so almost a year. I have never had this problem, but last month it gave me a lot of "high" days and never a "peak" day, and I had a textbook chart as far as temps. I have re-read the directions to make sure I was not doing something wrong (although peeing on that stick isn''t rocket science). I''m beginning to wonder if I have a bad batch of test strips. Since I''ve so far had a *fairly* clear thermal shift I think I O''d, and either the monitor or the test strips are off!

Huh. Did you start using a new batch of sticks mid-cycle? I''ve heard that can throw things off a bit. As for peeing on the sticks, I always pee into a cup and then dip. It gives me more control, because those sticks are pretty small!

Ebree - I get ''em like crazy. And they are INSANELY sore. Putting on a bra even hurts! I wish they made some sort of nip guard I could wear!

It starts the day or two before I O and lasts for a day or two after. 5 days of OH MY GOD DON''T TOUCH THOSE fun.

Hey everyone, have to make dinner but I just got a phone call from my cousin... I used to play paddle tennis with MISTY MAY!!! Holy crap! My cousin was like, remember our paddle tennis coach Barbara May? And I was like, yeaaaah... And then she was like, remember we always had to play with her daughter? And I was like yeaaaaah... And then she was like, HER NAME WAS MISTY??!! And I screamed, "NO FRICKING WAY!! She was so mean to me!!!" OMG guys, I played paddle tennis with MISTY MAY for EIGHT YEARS. HOLY FRIGGING CRAP.

Anyway, back to regularly scheduled posting. *whew*

Tiffany I totally think you O''d on CD 19, who knows what''s up with the monitor, but I''d trust the temps over the monitor.

I''m excited, you guys!

This is the first cycle (okay, it''s only been a week) where I''ve had temps that haven''t bumped all over the place. Since I only started temping last month, maybe that month was just *odd.* Oh how I''m hopin!!

Anyway, just because I''m SO excited that it doesn''t look like the needle after an earthquake, I''m going to try to post it. Not that it tells anything about ovulation or anything like that, but just because it looks like a normal chart, and that''s not happened before!!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Now how did that happen??? Argh! I saved the wrong thing! I wondered why it automatically saved it as "banner."

Shoot, I''ll try to find out how to save the dang thing...

Crud, it''s too big and I never re-size right. How many years have I been here now and I still can''t seem to find out how to re-size the way Pricescope wants you to.

HMPH!

Okay, I can''t shrink it to the point where you can read it and it''s under 100 whatevers it is that they want it to be less than for an attachment.

I''ll have to figure that out once I have a baby growing in me, because I can''t imagine NOT posting that! Or maybe I''ll just stick to a frantic post about pure excitement and joy and emotion. That may work just as well....

Good morning all! Hope every one is doing well.

CD 27, 9 DPO. POAS'd - BFN. My temp this morning is still high, as is my cervix. Of course, I don't know how well I slept last night...but it is the exact same temp as yesterday...when I slept great.

Also, still crampy and and CM is looking like AFF is still on her way...but she hasn't arrived yet.

So annoying.

Amber - You are totally famous! Isn't that funny how you really remember the people that are meanies? How are you feeling?

Fisher - yay for normal temps!!!

hallo!

tiffany: again, i''m no temping guru, but looking at your chart, i''d be inclined to ignore the monitor (bad sticks??) and trust the temperatures. it looks like a o at CD 19 to me...seriously why is this month so confusing for everyone on this thread?!?#?

ebree: hope the TWW zooms by

speaking of zooming, and i completely digress, but did anyone see that the newest celebrity baby is named zuma? zuma nesta rock

definitely not calling dibs on any of those!

as for the laying claim to names discussion - i think that i''m pretty safe in my own family seeing they seem to only repeat a small, selective group of celtic favorites. i.e. my dad, brother, uncle(s), cousins, grandpa, etc. all named michael.
3.gif
so my favorites seem WAY out there.
For girls: eleanore fern, lila going as lulu, pearl, norah, mae...
boys are trickier: jack henry,
however, for DH and I names are still a very theoretical thing and maybe some of the whimsy might need to be toned down a bit...

ahhh fire alarm. will continue in a moment

oh and a BFN, blah. blah. blah

No. I started a new batch of sticks at the beginning of the last cycle. I''ve gotten pretty good at peeing on those sticks, but maybe I''ll start with a cup on the next cycle. Thanks! Where do you get your sticks? I''ve been buying mine at Walgreens but they''re $49.95 a box there. I just found them on Amazon for $39.95. I wish I''d seen that earlier!!

The charts are Bitmap files (*.bmp) which are really big. You need to save the chart as a JPeg (*.jpg) instead. Save your chart to your computer. Then open it with your Paint program. Then choose "Save As", and from the menu scroll down until you select JPeg (*.jpg) as the file type. Then name it. As a JPeg file, you don''t even need to re-size them, they are under the 100kb limit typically.

HTH!

Fisher, here's an easy way to get pictures to be the correct file size, but still readable.

1)With your chart completely visible on your screen, hold down alt and press the print screen button (located in the upper right corner of your keyboard)

2)Open Paint

3)Edit > Paste

4)Click anywhere on your chart and drag it to align it so that the top left corner of the chart is in the top left corner of the paint window

5)Place your mouse over the bottom right corner (you'll need to scroll all the way down and to the right to get there) and it should turn into a line with an arrow on each end.

6)Click and drag this corner so that it matches up with the bottom right corner of your chart

7)File > Save As

8)Change "Save As Type" to .GIF

It should be way less than 100kb. Mine are generally less than 25. Hope this helps!

ETA: DD, we must've been posting at the same time. Your way is way easier than mine!

DD, I just tried your way and I didn''t even have to change the file type. Mine saved as a .png. It was 6.65kb

Morning ladies!

Feb- I realized I completely forgot to thank you for that link. Thank you! I was only able to skim it, but when I have some downtime today, I'll read through the whole thing. How are you feeling? How many DPO are you, now?

DH and I are off this weekend on a romantic getaway to Seattle. I think it's perfect timing- the blissful week between worrying about ovulation and worrying about a BFN/BFP. I need a fabulous, relaxing weekend.

Have fun, Ebree!

Wow...this is chart posting 101...love it! I''m just testing mine. According to FF I''m on 4 DPO. I had a bad headache two days ago, some cramping and I''ve been gassy (TMI), but nothing else out of the ordinary as far as symptoms. Knit, knit, knit...

banner85658.gif

Oh cool - it worked as per DD''s instructions. However, when I saved mine as a jpeg, it was too big and I couldn''t post it. I had to save it as a GIF.

BB well you definitely O'd! That's great!

Robbie and BB that is so strange that is saves automatically as different types of files! Oh well, the point is that if you save it as a jpeg/gif or some other less complex file then it fits I guess.

ETA Robbie I just noticed the method you've been using to save them... you can also right click with your arrow hovering over the chart and it will just save the chart file. Wasn't sure if you knew that or not.

I''m not sure why I never tried right clicking it before (you''d think that''d be the first thing I''d try!), but that''s how I''ll post mine from now on.

Little and Lovely - bummer about the BFNs, but keep knitting as you still might get a BFP any day now!

Lovely - The names you picked out are adorable...my faves from your list of girls are Lila and Norah...beautiful! For boys, Jack and Henry are up there on my list of faves too (esp. Jack), but we already have our names picked out already so, I''ll just have to enjoy them through you!

Ebree and others using fertility monitors, which brand did you end up purchasing and what website did you use? I''m thinking about tossing the OPKs for the monitor since the OPKs where so flakey this month for me. Obviously, I''m going to wait to see if I get a BFP this cycle, but I figure the money I''m spending on the OPKs would be better invested in the monitor so, any advice you can give me would be great!

blushing: I used the clear blue easy monitor this cycle. i thought that it was easy to use and i got clear results that lined up with my other fertility signs...

ebree: have so much fun in seattle. a seattle/vancouver trip is high on my to-do list!!

Morning ladies. I''m feeling cruddy today- a mix of sore throat, fatigue and stuffiness. Weeeeee. I just wanted to say hi,

and hopefully I''ll be on later today, after I wring out a nap.

Ebree: Have fun in Seattle!

Hi all

Quick question... how many days before O should you start to DTD?

If you are taking the marathon approach, and since who knows when O-day will actually happen, you could start at CD8 or CD10. If you get lots of days of feertile CF, then you can start when you get the fertile CF. I guess there''s no rule! You could also try every second day starting at CD 8 and then everyday that you have fertile CF.

PS: we did the everyday from CD 8 approach generally speakig, as did Belnheim and I think Indy too, though she doesn''t get specific about that stuff

You''re welcome Ebree! I hope it helps. While obsessively searching for answers to my gazillion questions about possibly being pregnant, I saw several times that the furthest apart a woman can release two eggs is within 24 hours of each other. Usually it''s much closer together than that though!

I''m at at 6DPO (I''m almost 100% positive I O''ed on the 16th) and even though I''m not a true TTCer I''m analyzing every "symptom"! Since yesterday I''ve had fairly uncomfortable cramps. I normally cramp 1 day (with spotting) before my period, so cramping this far out is NOT normal for me. I figure the earliest I will find out with a preggo test is Monday and the latest Friday. I did POAS yesterday and of course it was negative.

Have a relaxing weekend!!!
