Lisa- a super faint line? I heard that means yes no matter how faint!!! are you testing again? I used soooo many tests so I know how you feel. I can''t wait to hear what the next one shows!!! fingers crossed!!!
Snlee & Pave

You guys are gonna think I''m a total nutcase but here is my "Super Faint" (I mean super faint) line.

I swear it looks darker IRL.

I DO see that super faint line!!! Hoping it gets darker soon!

Snlee - thank god it''s not just me!

I keep staring at it and like a mirage it comes and goes......

Will test around 4 pm.

HCG double very quickly once implantation happens so maybe it will be a little more dark, oh how exciting!

I''m tempted to get a beta HCG done at the lab today (need to call the Doc.). Then it will be definitive.

Reason for being such a basket case is I''m on all sorts of category D meds that I have to disharge ASAP!

I think for good measure I''ll start winding some down today.

Ebree!! Congratulations!!!!!! I''m so happy for you and your DH and I''m sending heaps of sticky vibes your way. HEAPS.

Ladies, I think that I may start posting here more regularly.

DH and I have July as our month of TTC and I just made an appointment to see my gyn for the middle of june. I was due to go anyway, so I figure it''ll be a pre-TTC check up and hopefully it all checks out

.

I have been charting for a while, but not temping. So far my cycles have been pretty variable. I''ve had a 22, 24, 25 and two 27 day cycles and seem to notice CM anywhere from 5 to 8 days after AF ends...I honestly don''t quite know what to make of it all.

Question, since you ladies all know so much - In the textbook scenario, does CM occur as you ovulate or right before you ovulate? In other words, by the time I notice CM, would I have already ovulated?
Lovely - you and I have the same starting month! I can''t believe how soon it''s approaching!

My CM occurs a few days before I ovulate.

Congratulations to Ebree and Lisa! Sending sticky vibes your way

I''ve finally come out of lurkdom to post my story. Been TTC''ing since January with no luck so far (just got my BFN yesterday after the infuriating 2WW).

I have been temping for 2 mos now and see a spike around day 22 of a 36 day cycle....hopefully I can time things right next month!

Anyways just wanted to say I love reading everyone''s stories and updates - good luck to everyone on this thread!

Lisa...I totally see it!!!! SOOO exciting!!
If it makes you feel any better, the first test that I took, we literally had to take the entire thing apart and hold it up to the light to see the line... That was on a Saturday night. I retested Sunday morning and it was ever-so-slightly darker. Really, still barely visible. On a whim, I then took a digital test (which I think usually needs a slightly higher level to be positive, so I totally expected it to be negativee), but there it was... PREGNANT.

If you don''t get your betas done at the doctors, take a digital test!!!!

Keep us posted!!

OK OMg I see it too, although it is faint!! I thought the hcg would not double for 48 hours- although I would keep testing too. This is soooo exciting. I would go get the test at the drs. I was told there is always a standing order with my office for ppl to go get a blood test. Not the number one but just the yes/no one. Keep us posted.

I second the digital test! I tested forever with the regular tests and on 14 dpo I didn''t feel like going to the other br to get the regular hpts (I was trying to "hide" them from myself)so I just used the digi and it turned positive way quicker than the 3 minutes it said! Try a digital!!!!

EBREE and LISA, CONGRATS BOTH OF YOU!!!!! Lisa, I can totally see that line. So no you are not crazy!

YAYYY!!!!!!!

Lisa, I TOO see a faint line! "If it''s a faint line, it''s still a LINE!"

Ebree, yaayyy! Sending lots and lots of sticky vibes to you and your little bean. Oh I''m so excited for you!! Visualize the sticking

And Lisa a faint line is good news too! I know you''ll be checking again real soon. Crossing my fingers for you that it''s a positive

Lisa I see that faint line too! Fingers crossed it is real! That would be great news!

lulu the CM tells you the ovulation is approaching, so as soon as you see anything that is slippery or watery, start baby dancing and don''t stop until it all dries up completely, or you see the temp shift if you are temping! From what you describe, it sounds like you may ovulate early in your cycle, but maybe using a charting software will make the pattern clearer?

SBDE Welcome
35.gif
Are you using fertility friend to chart? www.fertilityfriend.com This may be really helpful in letting you plot out the best times for BDing! Have you seen a bi-phasic pattern in your temps so far? Don''t forget to monitor you CM, that is really your best sign!

As for me I am on CD-15, and if I am reading my signs right, I probably O-d today--my CM was fertile for the last 3 days and just started to get a little less plentiful today. Got in lots of BDing on CDs 11, 12, 13, and 15, so we shall see! Still no temp shift yet, but I expect/hope to see it start tomorrow!

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST I GOTTA TELL YOU!!!! THANKS to all who checked out the pee stick on last page

LIA - so funny about dismantling the test. I can picture u and DH (both Dr's) ripping apart the plastic casing with fervor (BTW my dad's was a radiologist too!). I'm afraid of the digital test b/c I don't think there is enough HCG now and would so bummed if it said "not pregnant" so I'll use that one tomorrow maybe.

BB & LOVELY- much luck for a speedy pregnancy.

SBDE - glad you are out of lurkdom and TTC!

PAVE - called the Dr. and will take blood test tomorrow at the lab, yay!

NF - holy cow! Here's to transvag. ultrasounds detecting the follicle - so clinical but precise!

AMBER & SUNKIST - I know DH would say "what line?" women are so scrutinizing it's great!

ETA: DD looking forward to your pos. stick soon!

Thanks for the warm welcome Lisa & Dreamer!

Dreamer - Good luck this month, hopefully everything goes smoothly for you over the TWW! I''ve been plotting the temps in excel (yes I''m quite the data-loving nerd) and definitely see the biphasic pattern in the 2 months I''ve been temping.

My mistake was thinking that the surge in temps meant ovulation was happening and we should BD - I now know it means ovulation has occurred and so I need to BD a few days before the surge. D''oh!!

I haven''t checked CM at all yet, and may start to do that in the next cycle. I need to read up on the best way to do it...

SBDE - I could detect CM on the toilet paper easily but others actually insert fingers to tell (hope that wasn''t TMI).

Some months I didn''t have any I could see. Then again my cycles are wackadoodle.

I started on FF and was just wondering if you ovulate after temp spike what''s the point in temping?

I mean why isn''t CM a better sign or keeping an average of when O happens? Although I guess that''s what FF is helping you to do.

For me, I O all over the place. No way to get a "trend."

Congratulations Ebree and Lisa!

Still no sign of AF for me. Hmmmm.

There are a lot of advantages to temping, mostly it''s about knowing your cycles and figuring out a pattern on when you O each month. But it is NOT good for predicting ovulation of course, CM seems to be the best way for that.

Lisa: I see that line

Congratulations!!!!

Thanks for everyone that replied about my CM question. I think that we''ll try for a month or two without temping and see what happens. if nothing happens, we''ll be a little less spontaneous and a bit more scientific about the process. I know that some people have articulated why they temp or do not temp, and while i''m an advocate of understanding how your body works, i just don''t want to be too regimented quite yet...

BB: i''ve been reading your posts in this thread and it seems that you have done lots of research and know what you''re doing. you''ll be knocked-up in no time

CM is really the sign that you should get busy, so tro speak, the temp spike is just reassurance that you are in fact ovulating.

Lovely, the only reason I am temping is just to make sure I am ovulating, because, for no good reason, I am worried about that. All you really need to do is monitor the CM to know when to BD. You typically have a 4 (ish) day window where BDing can get you knocked up, so a *little* planning is required... good luck!!

Thank you all so much. I can't tell you how much your good luck vibes/PS dust means to me!

Erica!!!! Too funny. Yes such academics who use acronyms to condense and convey the meanings of BIG FAT NEGATIVE & BIG FAT POSITIVE.

This is just TTC speak and it gets way intense check this out:

http://www.resolve.org/site/PageServer?pagename=cop_comacro

And then there''s the "ments" which took me forever to figure out in posts (means comments "ments" of a sensitive nature).

Perhaps deep down in your subconscious u are TTC too??????

Or are u for real trying to get preggo?

oh hey thanks for the acronyms link!

as for why i''m on this thread, hmm, i guess i''ll have to plead the 5th. my husband and i are working a few things out, but it never hurts to begin the learning process

i hope your faint line is a real line, lisa (fingers crossed).

Well IG what happened?

The suspense is killing me!

If you are + that make 3 of us in the same time frame.

Late January deliveries!!!!!

And ERICA, best wishes on your baby thinking journey.

I hope Mendelian genetics works out as well for you as it did for me! However yours would be amerasian right? 50/50.

Nothing happenin'' here. I made use of another Detective Strip (I''m going to call them that from now on I think). No go.

And no AF.

My temperature keeps falling...falling...falling. Anybody know what that means?

Speaking of acronyms, I''ve been trying to figure them out as I go along on here.

.... Wait a minute... What if I had actually got them all wrong? Lord only knows what I could be telling you people!

I think it means that AF will arrive soon... or maybe what you experience a few days ago *was* AF?? Sounds like a wonky cycle, but that can happen when you first go off BC. I had a strange AF last cycle.

BTW, if your temps are falling, and they are back in your pre-ovulation range, then it pretty much confirms that you are not preggers. Sustained high temps post-ovualtion for 18 days is a pretty good indication that pregnancy occurred, but if no pregnancy, temps start to fall again into the follicular-phase range after 14 - 16 days. That said, some people have a dip in their luteal phase, even though they are preggers, but the temps climb back up again.

And yes, you've gotten all the acronyms wrong so far Indy, we have been chuckling all along at the *newb*

kidding...

ETA: LOL at "detective strip". Did you get the ones at the dollar store? They do look kinda sketchy..
