ah good news to start the day - i''m glad that one of our knitters can put down her needles!!!

i also just got a call from one of my best friends from law school with the good word that she too is pregnant- they started TTC almost a year ago...so with the BFP she was over the moon, especially because they were thinking that it might not happen for them. however, unlike most ladies on this board, my friend did not want to know/understand her body and was almost self-sabotaging with her lack of knowledge. finally, she accepted that she needed to be more proactive in the process and voila she''s preggo!!

as for me, i was talking to DH about the possiblitity of getting the CBEmonitor the other day after i realized that this cycle was not going to work out. he was off yesterday from work (lucky fellow) and when i came home there was the monitor and a box of test strips - cute. now if he''d only be around next month...

That is so great! I had a blue test that looked just like that at 12DPO (so faint it is hard to believe), but that big ol' "PREGNANT" leaves nothing to the imagination does it? You must be so happy/confused/shocked/amazed! LOL! Please share your chart if you don't mind, or anything that was different this cycle from your previous... and ditto BB, did you have any strange symptoms that made you think you might be preggo? I love all these details, it is all so facinating. I am thinking back on the last 5 weeks of being preggo... So many "fun"
20.gif
things will happen for you in the next few weeks! hee heehee How wonderful! See, those marathon BD sessions really pay off!

LuLu that is really cool your hubby got you the monitor! Just remember that it is a good idea to also monitor CF just to be sure that the monitor is actually lined up right with your cycle... sometimes it can "miss" some good days or be ambiguous, but if you have your CF as a back-up then you will totally hit all the right days. Sucks about hubby being away this mont
39.gif
Can he change his trip dates?? LOL! How long is he gone for? Just DTD like bunnies before he leaves and as soon as he returns, if he isn't gone for a whole week you can still catch the egg! Ooooorrrr.. go out and do something really really stressful to delay ovulation until he returns!

BLENHEIM - JERKSTORE extraordinaire !!!!

Finally someone gets a BFP....whew. Congratulations!

I love how u did personal first to throw us off - true Jerkstore behavior.

INDY - Even w/ the worst case scenario, u have a better than excellent chance of a healthy pregnancy.
When will they scan u again? I know it''s easy for me to say. Seriously, most of the super high-risk twins
were antepartum and everything went fine. The worst of it would be a fairly long bedrest stint.

*Well, I POAS last night and I''m embarrassed
emembarrassed.gif
to have kicked up so much hoopla b/c it was stark white!

Finally the trigger is out! I''m all faclempt (sp)
emsad.gif
and wondering when to POAS again.

Today is 12 dp trigger, 11 dpiui/10 dpiui. I think they consider Monday 7/21 the O day (today 9dpo) so I''m jumping the gun - big surprise!

What a frickin'' ordeal.

DD: I''m definitely going to continue to monitor CM, but it''ll be nice to confirm that I am indeed ovulating! so i guess there goes my *laidback* approach to making a baby - right out the window and i''m very happy with that decision
9.gif

my husband has a bachelor party in vegas and he''ll be gone for 4 days
14.gif
and as of now I believe that his trip is timed badly for conception...but we plan to sandwich the trip with some BD action and see what happens. this is a really good friend of DH otherwise i might be a bit more bitter

lisa: are you telling us that you haven''t already POAS today...

Lisa - you crack me up! So sorry for your ordeal, but I have to say when you finally get your BFP, you will be granted the title of the MOST deserved, the HARDEST working TTC'er and BIGGEST FARKING JERK-SUPER-MART-DISTRIBUTION-CENTER on the face of the PS planet.

I cannot wait to induct you.
11.gif
Now, keep POAS and being funny! LOL.

ETA: I caved and bought this Fertility kit. It has Ovulation detector strips, 2 PG tests, and Digital thermometer AND this crazy magnifying glass device that you use to analyze your morning saliva. Apparently the saline in your saliva crystallizes differently thru your cycle. When you're not fertile, it just shows 'moon-like' crater patterns, and when you're fertile it changes to fern-like patterns.

I can't wait to go home and POAstrip! Tonight and tomorrow are BIG days. I'm now CD12 with a projected O day of CD14 (Thursday).

baby dust me!

Lisa well good news is you are all clear so now any lines will be real! 9DPO is nothing, you need to wait at least 2 more days to have a faint hope of a faint line! Which of course means you are POAS right now... LOL

OMG please. Please let one of us (at least) get FKU....just to keep the hope and faith alive.

Although, Blein gave me a quick shot of hope today! YEY! but we''ll need another dose in 2weeks time. That is for sure.

Hahahahaha, I appreciate the shower! I''m posed to O sometime from Friday to Monday- I''m thinking Sunday is the day. FF is saying my fertile days are today, tomorrow and Thursday, but my O days are possibly Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hm. I guess I''d better seduce DH while he''s still stress free!

Lord. This Saturday we''re supposed to be working a snack booth for charity, but it sucks because it''s like, 7am-6pm standing the whole time. There''s no way he won''t be tired when we get home.
14.gif
My DH doesn''t seem to be like the rest of yours, he''s more than happy with sex a few times a month (WTH?), instead of every day like you guys. That kind of sucks, because my line of thought is less sex = more months to have to try. I think it''s just that we''re not as "active" as we were all those years ago. Now we''re lucky if we have 3 hours together before bed time. So yeah, kinda bummed about that. DH doesn''t really respond well to prodding, and isn''t easy to seduce because he''s not a guy who gets turned on by sexy lingerie!

Gah. Being Bummerpants again.

no bummerpants. My DH is not that randy either....2-3 times a week only. In fact, I kinda wanted to jump start the BD last night, and I got a ''too tired'' response. HUMPH. (arms folded across chest). I''m worried about the back-to-back BD''ing I''m going to be instating today!!!! Because like you said, the more BD, the fewer months TTC! sheesh.

Hee Hee... DH asked what we had to do this coming weekend...
1. finish painting bathroom
2. clean backyard
3. get me knocked up.
He laughed and left for work.
Do you think its overkill to start today and continue through the weekend?

Mela, I''m so glad I''m not alone. DH is so fricking stubborn that he''ll be like, "Don''t FORCE me!" Once I even said, "No one should FORCE you to have sex with your WIFE!" I even thought of getting him some of that Fertilaid, but he was like, if you have to get me something like that, I''d much rather get meds from a DOCTOR. Perhaps I should buy some of those online viagra (TOTALLY KIDDING) for him.

He''s being so typical- wanting the end result (baby), but not wanting to actually do the dirty work. Which is like, the best kind of dirty work ever. *sigh*

I asked him last night: "Honey, what''s this weekend?" and he said, "Baby making weekend?" Yep. Then he asked me not to be all, "honey, let''s do it, we need a baby!"

I''m nagger extraordinaire.

Neither is my DH. We average about 2 times a week, although we''re not TTC yet. Once we do - I''m thinking we''ll just have to have carefully timed BD, imaybe the day before O, and the day of O, since that''s closer to our pattern anyway.

The best days to BD are the day before O and the day of O, right?

If you''re only going to do 2 of 3, I''d aim for the two days before, since it''s easy to miss the egg of you do it the day of O, Sha. By the way, has your hubby fully come around to having kids? Are things looking rosier on that front?

OMG - LOL- ROFL !!

So many funny ladies around too bad we can''t found a compound and bring in the stray male once in a while.

So in love w/ Christian Bale right now! I wouldn''t vote him off the island.

Lovely - I guess I haven''t POAS today. It will be blank and I''ll be bummerpants, crankypants and progesterone suppositoriy pants all in one!

Mela - I used the miroscope thingy for 2 weeks when I discovered that my saliva ferned anytime I ate salty foods or was dehydrated.
Very low-tech but interesting. At O there is more salt in your saliva and this is what it shows. I had one of our SW interns use it and it was good for laughs - well he was a guy!
They even do a ferning test for premature deliveries where the bag has popped or there is pre-term labor - works on same principle.

Hil - #3 sounds good. And u should do it as much as u like. What is baby dust anyway?

DD - so u never answered my quest. about boobs. R u a DD? And if so (coming from an A cup) how r things going in the bosom dept.?

Sha & Amber - The BD thing is so weird. We call it "sex on demand" and DH has had intermittant problems
32.gif
. My desire for sex depends on him not being a jerk,
keeping the toilet seat down and spontaneously cleaning Olivia''s poopants. I guess it really has nothing to do w/ sex at all????

Lisa, my desire for sex is all the time. His is when I''m sleeping. I wonder what that means? Am I so terrible that he must wait until I''m quiet and sleeping, unable to nag and poke to finally give me some lovin''?

31.gif

I actually accused him of doing just that- waiting until I was dead asleep and then pouncing. Then I told him it was fine with me- just don''t wake me up too much!

I''m horrible.

Blen, CONGRATS!!!!! You''ve now graduated to, wait, what''s this, MORE waiting?!?! The first few weeks were agonizing, but now I barely notice when another week has ticked by. It doesn''t hurt that I''ve been traveling and working so much, but phew, waiting is no fun at all!

Lisa, I''m glad the trigger is completely out now. Maybe you could treat yourself to a POAS tomorrow? Oh, and I''m glad to hear you''re an A, too. I think I''ll finally be able to fill a ''real'' A by the end of this pregnancy. Woot woot!

Lots and lots of baby dust for Mela!

Maybe all you ladies should do what I did: Calculate that you won''t O for at least 5 or 6 days, drink a few too many beers and throw caution to the wind because, heck, there''s no way you''re going to get a BFP this cycle! And lo and behold, the very thing you weren''t expecting or planning for happens.

Oh my God Lisa, you are killing me here with all that adorableness!!! Maybe it''s the Korean in me, but I''m so fascinated by Olivia''s blue eyes. I keep playing the odds in my head, but I''m pretty sure I''ll end up with a brown-eyed baby. When we visited my in-laws, I did a quick eye-color check of all his relatives. My niece has blue eyes even though his brother and his wife both have hazel. My FIL has blue and my MIL has hazel. Both BILs have blue or hazel. My husband has blue eyes, which is obviously the main reason why I married him.
3.gif

Well, I guess we won''t know for a long time. Did Olivia''s eyes change color at all?

Man oh Man what I would do for one with blue eyes. DH has blue, and I too married him solely on his eye color LOL

.

Sidebar: I ran into my BFF''s mom at lunch. We chatted about how excited we are for BFF''s girl (blah blah blah) to which she told me, "by the way, you''re first will be a boy". Uuuuum, "but I''m not even PG yet! how can you tell?" To which she replied "Oh, I just know these things."

So there. I''m having a boy....if I ever get PG. LOL.
