AWWWWWWWE - YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Littlelysser!!!!!! I''m soooooooooooo freak''n excited for you!!!

36.gif
I had a hunch you were pregnant with some of the symptoms you were describing.
5.gif
I just knew one of our lovely ladies would be posting a BFP over the weekend!

As for me, I''m at 7 DPO and no signs of a BFP yet...had some headaches, some cramping, some soreness in my breasts and have been very tired, but nothing that stands out as being preggos. Oh, and my temps are getting higher too....only time will tell.
2.gif

Ho hum....knit, knit, knit, knit.....

LL,

How exciting! I can only imagine the excitement and wonder and freaking out point you''re at right now. What a wonderful spot to be in, huh?

Congratulations!!!

I am resisting testing until at least tomorrow...

i am due for the dreaded af on wednesday, but we''ll see. hopefully they''ll be plenty more may babies.

anyone else testing soon?

Well, I got up this morning and tested again. STILL pregnant. So weird.

DD - I did notice the eerie similarities between the two of us! Crazy! I totally chalk it up to the orange dog/black dog combo!

Ebree - Thanks! I celebrated by sleeping in my OWN wonderful bed with my DH. It was sooo nice!!!

Amber - Thanks, pal. I''m so sorry to hear about your family drama...pooo. If you need to vent, we are here!

Snlee and MSB - Thanks so much!!! Good thoughts are much appreciated!

BB - Thank you for the congrats!!! I''m thinking GOOD THOUGHTS in your direction!!!! Yay high temps and cramping!!!!! That is a sentence I never thought I''d write...

Fisher - Thanks! It is exciting...and scary too. I woke up at one point last night wondering about all the what ifs...but we are happy...although DH is a bit shell shocked.

NYC - Thank you and sending super strong baby dust your way!!!!

LL, that is great great news!!! I''m so happy for you!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

CD7 here. Nada much going on minus some EXTREMELY crappy terrible family drama that makes me glad I''m not bringing a child into this f-ed up family. Other than that, hope you all are doing well.

Hope everything''s ok.

Lysser Its funny, it doesn't matter if you are trying or not, it still takes... months to get used to the idea! Take your time and don't think about too much or stress about stuff. Gradually it will get more real.

Lysser- Once you get use to the idea of being pregnant, you have the baby and then you have to get used to the idea of being someone''s MOM! It''s all worth it though
30.gif

I''m on CD25, 9DPO. I tested at 3am and got a BFN. I''m going to go out on a limb and say I''m not preggo. I am having the similar feels like I wet my pants a couple of times this morning that Lysser had though. This morning at the grocery store, I thought I had actually gotten my period there, came home only to find water CM
20.gif
And yesterday, I don''t know what is going on with my boobs, but they felt heavy, uncomfortable and I had a couple of twinges of discomfort. Even this morning, my nips are so sensitive!
33.gif

Amber- Hope everything is ok...

Congratulations, LL!!! Im so happy for you!! Sending lots of vibes for a happy & healthy 9 months!!! YAY!!!

Could be a preggo sign, but some women get watery CF before their period, as when the lining of the uterus starts to break down the first thing to exit is all water. So like all the other symptoms, it could be yes ir could be no! I hope its a yes!

LittleLysser!!!!!!! YAY!
I am so excited for you... Sorry I''m just finding out.
It''s so nice when the symtoms actually turn out to be for the right reason! I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 mo

Hi ladies,

I'm home sick today. My head is pounding, I feel sick to my stomach, and early this morning I just couldn't focus on anything. I stayed in bed two hours longer than I usually do, too.

I still woke up at the normal time to temp, though. My temp was down, by a lot. Yesterday was 97.21 and today was 96.88. I know there are supposed to be "normal" dips and peaks along the way, but I was so excited to finally have the temps evening out. I guess it could be because I'm not feeling well, though.

Hmph!

Also, I've been trying to take those lessons on FF re: how to chart the right way. I'm still confused, though. What does the black circle on the top right side of a date on the calendar mean? What does it mean when it's white? It reminds me of the moon (full and new), but would they put that on a fertility calendar? I can't find what it means in the legend at the bottom, either.

I also don't have the charting system that you pay for. I have 6 days remaining in my "free trial" and was wondering if I really need to purchase it. Without purchasing it, will it still determine if you're ovulating, or do you have to interpret it yourself if you're not a paying customer? I would have no clue how to go about doing that!

Reading about LL's happiness/excitement/freak out really gets me to thinking about how we'll react when it's finally really "real." Crazy how peeing on a stick can change your life so drastically, forever, isn't it?

Sorry so late to this party - Congratulations LL!

I love those digitals - so in your face!

I had cramping for a week or so after BFP as well.

OK back to playing catch-up over here..........

Fisher, I''m not sure what circles you''re talking about. I looked at my calendar and didn''t see any. Don''t worry about the temp drop. That''s totally normal. I went from 97.3 on Saturday to 96.8 this morning (skipped Sunday since we didn''t get home til about 2:30 and I usually temp at 5:30). You definitely don''t need to purchase FF for it to be useful. This is actually only the first month of my paid membership. Without the paid membership it will still give you cross hairs, but it won''t estimate when you''ll be fertile and it won''t give you a countdown to test. You also won''t have some of the features like "overlay my chart" or "search for charts like mine" and you won''t be able to post on the message boards. You don''t really need those things though.

hey ladies!
congrats and baby dust to everyone!!

i mostly lurk on this thread, but just love reading all of your stories - so informative!

and when dh and i are really really really really ready *hopefully* our stay will be short.

anyhoo, just thought i''d post this little ditty and hope you all get a laugh out of it.

my dh and i were talking about our ''baby timeline'' - i started by saying something along the lines of i hope to have two babies by the time i''m 35 (31 now) - and that doesn''t leave much time for dh to get on the baby bus.

he''s a feet dragger for sure.. and his reply.. his reply.... wait for it...

- i think if i get see alaska i would feel better about ttc.. it''s just something i *need* to see before kids -

AL-flippin-ASKA!?!?!?!?! where on earth did he pull that one from?...
for real? is this normal? did your dh *have* to do something before they thought they were ready.. more importantly did they have to travel to ALASKA?!?!

i''m hiding his ''into the wild'' dvd...

i tried to compromise with whistler or the canadian rockies.. nope ALASKA!

anyone want to do some vay-cay planning with me [;)
35.gif

just de lurking to say CONGRATULATIONS LL!!!
so very excited for you and can't wait to see you on preggo thread!!!!

(btw, i had serious cramping for at least 2-3 weeks after my bfp...i had to check my underwear compulsively every time i went to the bathroom).
(also, i totally get the re-testing this morning! i think must have tested about 15 times in the first trimester...just b/c i wanted to make sure i was still preggo!!)

:)

Alaska, huh? That''s awesome. You should do it! In fact, you should tell him that you''ll take him to Alaska if he agrees to start TTC while you''re there!

Alaska is supposed to be great. Doooo eeet!!!
36.gif

Also de-lurking to say:

Alaska. That's awesome.

I was conceived in Alaska. I know b/c my father got a kick out of telling us kids when we were conceived... (TMI TMI Dad!)

Anyway, vizsla, plan away and hold him to his promise!!!! You may need to keep reminding him of his promise in order for him not to change his story later, but at least Alaska is something concrete and doable!

Does he want the summer Alaska experience or the winter??
27.gif
32.gif

Some friends told me they were planning a trip to Alaska in February one year -
6.gif
6.gif
6.gif
. To Fairbanks for some dogsledding and Northern Lights and some festival. Just rent some serious gear and be sure to sunbathe in the happy lights - it will be an experience!!

Actually, a different set of friends decided to start reproducing after climbing Mr. Shasta. Something about realizing they were not the mountain climbing type, must be time to start on a domestic life!

Though if you are more chicken go in summer and you will have a fabulous time. It can be hot in the summer, especially in the interior, but we went to Anchorage area in late August and had fabulous weather and a great time. Kayaking, day cruise with glaciers, orca and sea otters, hikes with fab. views of mountains and water bodies, teeny tiny little towns with character. Even the less fabulous weather (60s, raining) is not horrible if you have the right clothes. Rain gear is essential.

ETA: Happy BFP LL! Yay!! Sticky dust for you
36.gif

LittleLysser- YAY!!!! CONGRATS!!!!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif

I had a feeling you were KTFU, I even logged in yesterday and started a post saying so, but deleted it cause I didn''t want to jinx anything! I am so excited for you. Stick around for sure!

Amber- Hope everything is ok. I have that feeling sometimes.
7.gif
Usually more about the state of the world than my family, but still.

Vizla- Actually, I totally understand that. Not necessarily Alaska! But I do feel the need to go to China, Africa, and S. America before I TTC. That''s probably not going to happen, but I understand the instinct. I have heard Alaksa is amazing- so "compromise" with your DH and get a beautiful trip out of it!

Happy Monday everyone!

*bonks head*
so super duper congrats to LL!!!!!!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif

i can''t imagine what it would be like in those first few days when you know you are growing a life and no one else does... it''s like the sweetest little secret ever!!!!

and LOL! you girls are funny/awesome (''doooo eeet'' - lol)! don''t get me wrong.. i''m not opposed to going to alaska .. dh and i, after all, hiked our way thru yosemite for our honeymoon
2.gif
but we''re not necessarily homebodies and travel quite a bit.. so to pull alaska out of thin air.. i felt like it was more of an excuse than anything else.. but believe you me.. i''ve already started researching on tripadvisor - me thinks a trip to alaska would be a great christmas gift to one another don''t you?

the only *poor me* bummer is that i reaaaaallllyyy wanted to start trying in october.. and i don''t think i can squeeze in a trip to alaska before then.

i''ll probably start a thread re: alaska for trip ideas ;)
34.gif

i sometimes forget that not only are there financial/career/home things we are working towards to get our lives ready for baby... but also that hubby has his *personal* goals before he''s ready... and i have to respect that.. i''m an uber planner - so now that things are falling into place ''I''M READY I''M READY'' - but it takes two to tango...
26.gif

Just popping in to give Amber a hug. Don't like it when my homey's are down in the dumps. We're here for you!
12.gif

Vizsla - haha. my hubby was maje dragging his feet. Then, we did the dirty once unprotected and PAAN! KTFU! We lost that one, but it was all he needed to jump full throttle into the TTC game. Nothing like a swift kick in the arse, eh? hahhahaha. poor guy.

I think Alaska is a great compromise, as long as it kick starts the TTC train. Good luck! Welcome to the party!

Congrats LL, I am so happy for you!
36.gif

Robbie- I tried the Instead cups, but I''m not sure if I used them properly. I followed the directions, but noticed that it would slip out of place. Not sure if I''ll use them next cycle...

Nothing new here...I''m cd 25, 9 dpo (like Feb2003). We bd cd 9-12 and 14-16, so really only missed one day. I started taking B6 this cycle, hoping to extend my luteal phase, so I''m not sure when to expect AFF. In the past it would start on 11 dpo (Wednesday), I guess I''ll just have to wait and see. I think it made me ovulate later, cd 16, which is interesting. Have had a lot of creamy cm, pretty much since I ovulated. I''ve never had this before, but don''t think it is a pregnancy sign since it didn''t really let up much after I ovulated. Have had sore nipples for the last two days, but I honestly think I am looking for signs.
20.gif
Took a pregnancy test this morning, bfn.

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all well! Sorry I have been so MIA...

Aside from being sick and having a headache, I like being home from work!

Guess what I''m watching that I''ve not seen in AGES?

A Baby Story on TLC.

This one is about a mother of four girls about to give birth to her first baby boy.

Five kiddos. Wowzers!

So funny to see how even a mother of 5 (almost) has had such different experiences with each pregnancy and child birth.

Wow, and to think that for LL, yesterday started the journey for her. What an incredible ride! Here''s hoping we all get to ride that ride soon (and hoping that once we get on board, we enjoy every moment of it!!!).
9.gif

Ebree-

I just saw in another thread that you are from Dallas? Where are you now? I grew up in Dallas. I miss the "old" Northpark too!

Ok, back to regularly scheduled baby talk!

If I *knew* I could conceive, I like to think that I''d be able to be more patient during the wait. Note I said "think."

On the calendar for this month on FF, (the calendar with the funny orange and green balls with *eyes* to tell when you may be fertile or ovulating), there is a Black full circle (no eye) on 8/30 and a White full circle (no eye) on 8/16.

I guess they don''t matter much, if they''re not labeled anywhere.

I think this may be a guy thing. Paul thought that we needed to take a road trip, just the two of us, across country this summer, before we began TTC. We did, and for him, it was a defining moment and now he's totally on board for a baby to come into our lives.

Who knows why it is that things like this matter to a man. I'd like to see Canada prior to a baby coming along, but now we're thinking of having that be a trip we take as a celebration of being parents-in-waiting.
9.gif

I think the idea of starting TTC in Alaska is awesome! See how DH feels about that!!

Vizsla-
We planned a trip to Europe to celebrate our anniversary. I started to get the TTC itch a couple of months before we left, but DH wasn''t feeling it. He REALLY wanted to take this trip before ttc. In the end, I think what he really wanted was to have a carefree trip. We got back from the trip a month ago and he is now fully on board. I''d say go for it, I''m sure it''ll be something you look back on in the early years of parenthood when adventures are a little harder to come by.

Fisher-
I hope you feel better soon.

Amber-
Hope things settle down for you.

I think we all get flustered, but I think the variations that you''re experiencing are completely within normal range. I seriously have no idea what these ball things are that you''re talking about. I don''t have anything like that on my calendar. Can you take a screen shot and post it on here? (alt + print screen) Are you talking about the same calendar that I have below or a different screen?

it''s so fun to hear all of your ''we neeeeeeed to do this one last thing'' stories ;)

i know his major fear is that we are going to be tied to the house for the rest of our lives.. i keep reassuring him that, yes, we are going to be home more BUT we can do anything we want to do.. it just takes a little more planning..

''no'' & ''can''t'' have never been in my vocabulary. where there''s a will there''s a way.... right?

can you see it now? mr. vizsla, mrs. vizsla, baby vizsla on dad''s back - the alaskan mountains and northern lights as a backdrop? day hiking at denali?
i can - however, i don''t think hubby has such a vivid imagination as i do.
i may be totally demented, but i always thought backpacking thru europe would be way fun with kiddos too. probably just me, right?
