I like it as an art gallery. I'd visit and pay my £15. As a house it's dark and depressing with limited natural light and a kitchen far too small and outdated for any practical purpose.
Excellent gallery though! The brown features and obstructed windows I'd hate in a house really do make it a neat viewing space.
Actually, I've been inside that house numerous times (have you?) and it is filled with natural light. Its not dark at all.
The carpet is there to protect the original hand-hewn hardwood floors from the literally thousands of visitors that pass through the gallery. To convert the gallery back to a home, yes, walls need to be painted different colors and the carpet needs to come up. But overall this home is in excellent condition and is a beautiful property filled with light.
