I just applied for another job.

I''m trying a new strategy.

My cover letters are super attention getting now. I''m basically throwing myself on the mercy of the hiring managers. I stopped being uber-professional and stuffy. I''m basically saying ''Im DYING for a position in this field, please just take a chance on me! I will work my a$$ off'' but ya know, a little more nicely written.

Lets see how it goes. I figure, if I don''t stand out... I don''t have a chance. From here on out, my cover letters are going to be experimental!

The one guy''s daughter is in jail right now (LONG stupid story) and she calls ALL DAY LONG. Half the time he ignores it and half the time he answers -- and then she starts to yell & cry. She''s been in for about 2 weeks this time. In and out for the last few months.
Looking at the possibility of a year or more.

I can''t put up with her doing this for a year. I''m fed up and ready to smash the phone as it is.


Should mention, the daughter is 39 years old.

Weird...similar situation here but it''s w/ J''s Sister. Apparently she''s on meth and we''re not sure if she''s dead/alive/jailed whatever. Also 39.

Crazy.

This one is in for drunk driving (times 2), driving without a license (times 5), breaking parole, etc.

Also involved in drugs. Not sure what but she got involved with a very active drug dealer.

She''s got a brother but hasn''t talked to him or most of her other family for some time.

job hunt has not been going well for me

My mom is learning how to cook.

She made upside down caramel apple french toast for dinner last night and e-mailed me about it. (I sent her the recipe)

She used the last of the bread she made the other day (from scratch), granny smith apples, toasted pecans.....
I guess the caramel sauce it forms when cooking turned out just right.


I''m so proud. (and her husband is thrilled to have real food)

Here is the recipe.

I use soy instead of whole milk & cream. I''ve also been using about half the sugar. Caramel is a little thinner this way, but it isn''t overwhelmingly sweet.

Oddly enough, the skimpier the bathing suit, they better they look on me.

Too much fabric cuts in then makes me look chunky. String bikins that i can tie loosely on my hips make me look so much better.
